Oral Question 5: SIAP bila siap?

June 22, the Minister of Home Affairs -- who was delegated by the Prime Minister to whom I posed originally -- was supposed to have answered my oral question on the delayed tabling of the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission bill, which was queued as Question No. 58 and delivered as a written reply.

As at the end of yesterday, I wasn't given the written answer.

The compilation of answers to all Oral Questions queued for June 22 was dropped on our desks this morning. I turned to the page that carried my question, and the answer reads:

JAWAPAN BELUM DITERIMA DARIPADA KEMENTERIAN YANG BERKENAAN.

Meanwhile, Malaysian Insider reported that Home Minister Hishammuddin Hussein has backtracked on revisiting Royal Commission report on police.

ORIGINAL POSTING

QUESTION PR-022-L19078

Tuan Jeff Ooi Chuan Aun [ Jelutong ] to ask the MINISTER OF HOME AFFAIRS to state whether the Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission Act (SIAP) in which its approval is delayed in the Parliament can really curb incidents of police brutality incidents such as the death of A. Kugan.

ANSWER

JAWAPAN BELUM DITERIMA DARIPADA KEMENTERIAN YANG BERKENAAN.

If my Oral Question has been queued, it must be answered. This is parliamentary responsibility.

If I don't get the answer by today, an official complaint to the Speaker will be on the way.
