Comments
Hi, Jeff
Kudos on your efforts to establish contacts with some of the Malaysian diaspora living and working overseas!
It's a shame that the Federal govt doesn't have a systematic plan to do this. Unlike, say, Singapore which runs frequent Contact Singapore campaigns in key cities in the US, Australia and the UK.
Here's a thought: why not introduce a private bill in Parliament to allow Malaysians dual citizenship?
And set up an Overseas Malaysians Dept in the PM's Office, to be overseen by a Minister.
At a stroke, that will put us ahead of the competition in the region and demonstrate to the Malaysian diaspora that their country has not forgotten them.

Gerakan and Umno... the Opposition in Penang
What could be wrong for the Chief Minister to double up as the Tourism & Investment Ambassador for Penang when he goes on trade and overseas missions to sell the state as the choice destination for the overseas markets -- and all expenses paid for by the host countries?
But our Barisan Nasional people just miss the point. Obviously, they are not so used to being in the Opposition.
