It was close to impossible until I heard it.
"... you have heard about Jeff Ooi, famous blogger, stood for election... elected!"
The portion on the Screenshots blogger was embedded at the 06:45 minutes of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's National Day Rally Speech 2008 (Part 5), which was broadcast over ChannelNewsAsia Monday night, August 18. [ Watch the video here and text here ]
The Prime Minister talked about preparing Singapore society in New Media, citing several countries, US, Korea, Malaysia, China and Singapore. This blogger was aligned in the league of Barack Obama, who campaigns online, and Hu Jin-tao, who held his first webchat recently.
A friend watched it in Shenzhen and SMS-ed me while I was about to speak at a vote-Anwar ceramah in Permatang Pauh last night. Another friend from Singapore emailed me all the links on ChannelNewsAsia website as I couldn't view the satellite channel in Malaysia. Thank you very much.

Yes, even the Singapore PM has acknowledged & respected your achievement - Congratulations once again & you rightly so deserve the accolade - a force to be reckoned with, not just in Penang but Regionally & I am confident you will be so Internationally SOON !
Your intellectual, academic, professional, political right down to grassroots exposure & your focused determination to be the "Best" at whatever you aspire to do speak for itself - syabas and keep up the good work.
With you being a Penangite, the "Pioneer Blogger", your "Broad Spectrum" knowledge, experience & exposure - you have achieved and rightfully earned the distinction of being a "Neutral" Regional & International Personality from Malaysia.
Btw, my son Adam (Dir of Photography) spent a few days documenting the Penang Heritage celebrations for Nat Geo selection (hopefully) & spent time with YB LGE & the Penang Heritage Chairperson together with their representtives.
He was honoured to be given the opportunity & thoroughly enjoyed the "Penang" hospitality, the vibrant mix of cultures at the shopping centres, institutions, nightspots, etc.
Even he commented on the anti-climax with the citizens & ambience when he got back to K.L - now that says alot about Penang under YB LGE & his team under your stewardship.
