'What if Najib holidays elsewhere?'

We also agree that personalities do make a difference in bilateral relations.

It will be unfortunate and even sad if, as the High Commissioner says, Datuk Seri Najib Razak “finds himself not in a position to attend the Shangri-La Dialogue” or “the Najib family has decided to spend their holidays elsewhere.”

I am not sure of international protocol etc..but did the High Comm take it upon himself to write to the paper or was he asked by Najib?

The MSM of Malaysia can be told on what to write or not write, but I don't think others give a damn.
