From high-cost Perdana to Monsoon Cup... Probe!

Probe Monsoon Cup!

That's how the Terengganu menteri besar Ahmad Said thinks he can deflect flaks on him.

The MB. appointed to the post not on the PM's recommendation, challenged the Anti-Corruption Agency (ACA) not to be selective but to conduct investigations into projects like the multi-million Monsoon Cup sailing event and the Islamic Civilisation Park.

One of the earliest to jump on hearing the words "Monsoon Cup" was none other than the Prime Minister, who loves sailing, purportedly globetrotting from Turkey to Perth.

In an immediate response, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi said everything worth investigating is up to the ACA, a federal agency parked under and subservient to the PM's Department.

To put on record, MB Ahmad Said said in a press conference yesterday that the two projects he named were “only the tip of the iceberg”.

Let's see if good governance brings a new Benz-mark, starting from Terengganu and Putrajaya.

Some have said the RM5 Billion used from Terengganu's wang ihsan for those projects are to returned to the state from other federal funds.

The question the MP should ask is are they returned to BN's Terengganu by taking out from the allocation for PKR's Penang projects recently shelved.

There are some others which will be coming out of the woodwork soon enough.

And while at it, post some photos of those mercs, bmws and maybachs in the garages of the ministers. How did they get the money to buy them? How did the asset declarations miss them? Will the ACA be proactive on them?

There's a lot of double-standards going on.

the whole affair stinks and the outcome not acceptable. money is being spent without accountability or brains. wouldn't it be better to have purchased a toyota or nissan cars if so required.

it stinks of the state government spending to satisfy onceego and pride.

watch the years to come with peak oil not being to far away anymore counting in 6 years. hence oil output baring new discoveries will start to reduce.

without the buffer of oil to steady the national budget and the riches from oil to cover wontan acts of corruption, we will enter a period of intence jostling of the top management to see who will get the remaining pie to be shared by the cronies.

everthing that is shameless will surface when this happens

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
