Desperate Housewives... ( 2 )

Balkis' equivalent in Penang is called Pertubuhan Bunga Tanjung, which used to be chaired by the former Chief Minister's wife before the change of state government after March 8.

Bunga Tanjung has in its coffers about RM350,000. Is it also gone?

theSun's frontpage story today is about "globe-trotting VIP wives'.

Job well done so far Jeff and team....

While many of us truly appreciate the effort and sacrifices that you've put into to improve the way the state/country works, I agree with integrated_malaysian, Greatergood, jbslwoman (comments to your previous entry on Desperate Housewives) that it is so important to keep focussed on the main agenda of governing the state...

I'm sure you know that at some point many of us will be tired of reading about what happened in the past.....

JEFF OOI says: It used to be the politicians who "mobilise" money in questionable ways. Now their wives. Next their children? We need to tolerate this?

Keep positive and spend more energy to look forward!! I'll definitely root for an honest and forward looking Govt.

This is not an old tale and as if we have heard it before?... No we are not tired to hear this... this is new and this not tolerable. I am surprised that not only the politicians, wives? and who knows who else?

Besides, this is not the past... this is happening today right before our eyes... it's current.

Does highlighting the Balkis case mean Jeff isn't concentrating on the main agenda of running the state?

IMO its a subset rather than a seperate issue all together.

The alledged corruption cases highlighted on this blog and many other online sites spurred 1st time voters like myself to vote for change and I for one would like to see it continue at least for now.

Now this happened only to Balkis etc kind of organisation. Who know what will happen to the GLC (MBB, TNB etc) if one day the BN collapse...... may be the new government will then find that all GLC have become BN-LC.

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
