60,000 crowd... RM123,000 on-site donations... but...
The March 6 DAP Ceramah held last night at Han Chiang High School, located with the Jelutong parliamentary constituency that I contest, was massive.
People came in red and white, DAP's colours. About 50,000 people gathered within the football field and the school compound, with another 10,000 surrounding the perimeter fencing by the roadside.
On-site donation broke a new record for DAP ... a whooping RM123,000.00. Thank you very much!
Picture courtesy TV SmithNow, the question, we need to translate these strong support into votes to deny Barisan Nasional the 2/3 majority tomorrow. It's now or never.

My photojournalist friends Vincent Thian (Associated Press) and Halim Zainal Abidin (Reuters) were there. So was fellow blogger/columnist Oon Yeoh, and multimedia producer, Fat Bidin.

Just vote for the Opposition wherever you are.
Your action will send a stinging message to Umno and its barisan batangs that the rakyat are no longer to be trifled with, that there is a thing called the limit of endurance.
And that has long past for all of us, for this suffering nation, for the future of your children and theirs.
For once in your life, do the right thing and vote in the Opposition. Vote out those parasites, no matter what they have said, and no matter how they try to paint themselves out to be.
You have one chance to do it right again where you can see what arrogance has done in the past to you.
Nothing more to say, nothing more to write.
You decide.

My hair stand on its end with every roar of applause. this is just so incredible. For such a mammoth crowd, we have to thank UMNO for delivering such a crowd. Who can forget about Hishamuddin's keris, Khairy's arrogant, UMNO's youth threat to burn down the Selangor Chinese Town Hall, Pak Lah's order to shut Malaysian up from discussing inter faith dialogue, Altantuya being C4ed! One sided media reporting, UMNO strong rejection of Suqiu's request, when it is not even a demand, just a request for consideration and UMNO's strong rejection of ASLI's report on Bumiputera ownership without even reading it.
For all these on mind, the people will go to the polling station to voice their view, with just a piece of ballot paper, no need the taming sari keris, a piece of paper will do and that thought is making the BN trembling with fear today, on the eve of the polling day.

Bravo.
I suggest opposition start create a funding project to bring back the municipal councils election.
Because the election campaign funds is not enough even people like JeffOoi enter the parliament. To bring back municipal councils election, a series a program and campaign is needed, after the general election.

I was there...and the feeling was phenomenal.
I have been to a lot of ceramah, but nothing like this one. I have been through several elections, but nothing like this time.
When it pours, nobody left their position. "Phak Si Bo Chau" loosely translated "Won't Leave No Matter What" Aunties put on old newspapers to cover their heads. uncles braved the rain and chanted even louder.
When you sing especially the part "Pa Wo To Tau Phiau Huan Kei Wo" to the tune of the old classic song, the people sang with you with their heart and soul. Though it was a long and wet night, everybody left with a hearty smile and a sense of pride.
I am glad to be part of this history. I sense a wind of change...

BRAVO to DAP Penang for organizing such a great wrapping-up ceramah in Han Chiang. Although speeches by candidates were short but I believe it is enough to convince the people. Congratulations Jeff for delivering the message by singing the modified version of songs. Definitely a very creative way to approach the people there. Other DAP leaders, great job in delivering the message over to Penangites.
Please don’t believe that the BN candidates will stand for you in the Parliament and State Assembly. Lim Boo Chang and Tan Cheng Liang are very good examples of leaders who are sent to exile for defending the rights and welfare of people by opposing the PORR (certainly means going against the decision of BN). And what happen to them? Well sad to say, leaders with the heart to serve the people and not just follow blindly decisions made by those in power are punished for their great efforts.
If real views and opinions about the truth in the county which opposes BN cannot be revealed, then what is the point of asking the views and opinion of the people? Might as well do what they like and govern the country the way they want as though they own it. It is simple, either you are supportive to everything the BIG LEADERS in our country say or it is OUT YOU GO!!!
Come on, we are sick of this type of people. All they know is nod their head and say yes. (Perhaps they were never thought to say NO in their entire life)
PENANGITES!!! WAKE UP!!! It is truly time to make a change. The race-based political party will not unite the people of the country but only drift us further apart. Hopefully the turnout of sixty thousand plus of people in Han Chiang for the ceramah really meant that we, Penangites want a chance in this state and country. Do not just attend the ceramah and support DAP there but do otherwise when casting your vote.
We can make a change for a better tomorrow and a brighter future. Free our country from corruption and other unhealthy practices. MAKE A CHANGE, everyone!!!!!
Every single vote make a difference. Cast your votes wisely. VOTE FOR DAP!!!
Fellow friends and family in Jelutong…
VOTE FOR JEFF OOI and his fellow comrades, JAGDEEP SINGH DEO, LAW HENG KIANG, KOID TENG GUAN…
GOOD LUCK TO ALL DAP CANDIDATES!!! Make us proud!!!
WHEREVER YOU ARE JUST VOTE FOR THE OPPOSITION.

Don't aim to be rude, but hope you enjoy this.
Have you seen the Made-in-Malaysia car "Kancil"? You know, that very little 600 cc car ?
Well Dr M really wanted to sell it to the US,so when Dr M paid a visit to the White House after finishing formal discussions with Clinton, Dr M checks with Bill to find out if there is a way to sell the Kancil in the USA.
After having looked at the brochure, Bill said, "You know, I think this 'Kernchill' is too small for us Americans."
Not one who gives up easily, Dr M persisted and finally Clinton offered, "Ok, take this number down. This guy is my good buddy and he's also the CEO of the biggest compact car distributor in North America".
Dr M was satisfied with the meeting and returns to Malaysia. The next day he called the number and a lady answered, "TOYS R US", Can I help you?"
Mr. Samy-vellu went for the recent United Nations' Meeting.
He represented the Malaysian Prime Minister. All nations were discussing about space exploration by the year 2003.
Here are some of the conversations: China Delegate : "By the year 2003,China will start their moon exploration project."
Russian Delegate : "We too, we are going to explore the moon. This time we will see to it that our cosmonauts will step on the moon." Bill Clinton : "We the United States will also explore the moon for second time."
Malaysian Delegate: "By the year 2003, Malaysia will explore the sun."
There was a long silence. Bill Clinton stood up and asked the Malaysian Delegate: "Isn't it too hot to explore the sun?"
Samy Vellu (after a long silence): "We will do it in
the evening."
There are three major races in Malaysia - Malay,
Chinese and Indian.
The Malays have the political power and so they set up the party UMNO,
which literally means "U Must Not Object".
The Chinese, on the other hand, controls most of the
economy and they called their party MCA which means "Money Conquers All".
Then there are the Indians who have no say in politics or economics. They set up their party called MIC. Hence, every parliamentary meeting the Indians would
ask: "Must I Come?"
No offence.. Just for sharing.
