Recycle-able energy

DPM Najib Razak said the opposition’s promises to reduce oil prices if it were to form a government will only bankrupt the country.

The real fact is that there is a big fear among wage earners that the imminent escalating fuel prices in 2008 will also spiral electricity tariff, among many other things, in a chain effect.

I saw a TNB pilot project in the east coast, using wind and solar-cells hybrid. If all things fail, the diesel engine will kickstart to ensure continued power supply.

Just do not know the commercial cost of it.

Obviously the DPM has said that without much thoughts. If the Govt in which he is a part of did not "waste" so much of this country's wealth on boo boos like PKFZ, patrol boats, etc, I am very sure our oil revenues is more than enough to serve generation of Malaysians. If ONLY, all projects are open tenders, we could be paying only 50sen for SMART tunnel at max,Putrajaya could have been built at less than 50% of the awarded costs etc . How could the Opposition bankrupts an already "bankrupted" nation by BN?

The Dutch and German islands in the north have many of these wind turbines installed, together with solar energy they can power almost all of the islands.
Also there are experimental wind turbine 'parks' which have shown that wind energy is really viable!

I saw many of these "fans" in europe. france, holland, denmark ..

I din't research much on this subject. At one glance, it's a one time investment and generating energy (money) continually. The idea sounds good to me. Make fortune out from storm.

Who made these solar panels?

mahathir_Fan,

The correct question should be, who own the monopoly whole seller right of those solar panel.

just thought that it would be nice to have these solar panels installed a top our rooftops and let us sell back the electricity generated back to TNB like what they do in california.

given the number of people who splurge tens of thousands on house renovation, adding a new bed room etc., why not use that money to install a solar panel on the roof? it will help to save money and maybe make money on electricity.

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
