Worrying message on Internet Malaysia
A Screenshots reader sent me this alert, that a well-known Malaysian NGO carries a recruitment drive for 'Hamas Boyz'.
It said: "Suicidal bomber wanted, no experience needed."
The message is short and concise, but not any less intimidating.

SOURCE: Portal PEKIDA, November 12, 2007 At 08:00 AM, powered by Network Thirty.
Police and leaders of BN component parties who read my blog please communicate internally and do something to allay the fears of the public.
We can't say we are not concerned as the organisation is closely linked to a dominant political party in the government.

Dear Jeff,
Good morning. I manage to find the exact URL from the Portal PEKIDA.
http://www.pekida.com.my/portal/v1/index.php?option=com_extcalendar&Itemid=32&extmode=view&extid=128
I do not know whether this is a real advertisement or someone is trying to play a serious joke with all of the Malaysian.
I believe that Portal PEKIDA will need to check this out and co-operate with the PDRM to find this 'HAMAS BOYZ' out. Also, Portal PEKIDA need to give clarification to the public to explain why such case will happen!
Another thing is, I wonder why Portal PEKIDA can just simply allow someone to post such messages, that will make the society to be huru-hara?

Dear Jeff,
I suggest someone must go to make the police report. Ask the PDRM to check who is the person behind the name of 'Hamas Boyz'.
PDRM must do something seriously, before someone really hurt Malaysia one day.
Prevention is always better than cure; speech from Orang-Orang Besar after something happened is useless.

As of now, the event is apparently not in the website anymore, but there's a new posting there entitled 'Get A Life Jeff Ooi!' posted 3rd Dec 2007, 8.00 am.
URL: http://www.pekida.com.my/portal/v1/index.php?option=com_extcalendar&Itemid=32&extmode=view&extid=138
Text copied verbatim:
My goodness,u really ran out of issues to bring up don't u?Do some good to the country,go out more rather than staring at the PC all day.
I know being opposition and all,u need to find faults and loop holes within the system, but this is bit too much man.U get no respect here.Get a life!!!
Il just take it as humour, sucide bomber,no experience needed?get it?just let me elaborate this for u,if ones an experienced suicidal guy,the person wont be alive to apply for the post, wouldnt he?
With all due respect to people whos life has been ruined by terrorism,I know this is a very sensitive issue and its not a very funny joke. PEKIDA is announcing a public apology for the mishap and we promise this will never happen again.

/// I wonder where to find "suicide bomber with experience" ... ///
Ha, ha, ha - that's a good one, azk.
If they had experience, they can't be good suicide bombers...
Reminds me of this guy at the parachute shop, trying to buy a parachute and asking the shop owner about the quality of his parachutes. His reply? "Well, in all these years that I have been in business, I never have any customer complaints about defective parachutes..."

Interestingly, the PEKIDA forums have been modified to prevent public viewing of their contents, as per the two links above.
Hmmm...now what are these terrorist-wannabes trying to hide?

Dear All,
The link that reported by pinolobu,
http://www.pekida.com.my/portal/v1/index.php?option=com_extcalendar&Itemid=32&extmode=view&extid=138
is no longer viewable for public. But I believe if you have login ID, you still can see the message.
I wonder why some of the Malaysian are so childish in their mind and so narrow in their sight-seeing?
It's not about who is BN and who is opposition, it's also not about who is so free to keep his or her eyes on the PC screen, but it is about the public security, national security!
If you simply say that this is just a funny joke to relax your stressful life or something, I would say that you are wrong. Because this kind of 'funny joke' will make the society to be worried and by law, the person who create this 'funny joke' can be sued or send into Simpang Renggam due to the national security issue.
I believe, no matter who is the one who share the link with us, no matter he or she is from BN or opposition, we shall appreciate for his or her sensitiveness about the public issue and not say something like 'My goodness, u really ran out of issues to bring up don't u?'. If you don't believe, tell this 'funny joke' to Abdullah, you will see his response. The next day newspaper will be something like 'Don't try to destroy the relationship between Malaysian...' and I believe that no one will say 'Abdullah, my goodness, u really ran out of issues to bring up don't u?'
I always believe that those kind of people who purposely want to destroy other people's good name, even he or she is doing good thing, are cowards, close-minded, and low quality in their personality and the most important thing is whatever these people said must have their intention behind their words.
If Jeff Ooi really did something wrong, I agreed that all of us shall ask him for correction; but this time Jeff Ooi just did a good job for telling us about the worrying message. We shall clap our hands for Jeff!
If someone (especially the person who wrote the related messages in PEKIDA) don't even have the basic ability to differenciate what is good and what is bad, please don't make people laugh on you, and don't make Malaysian 'siah sui' (shame) in front of foreigners!
