A Chinese young lady was kidnapped by three males of mixed races in Shah Alam this morning.

The victim is Dora Goh Wei Wei, 25, 155cm, curly hair.

The kidnappers sped off in an older model Camry, metallic gold in colour.

Her brother Rayson can be contacted at :

Apparently the kidnappers have contacted her father and are asking for ransom, she's ok and will be released when they get their money.

Jeff,

With only 7641 and Camry model but without the alphabets, I think the info are sufficient enough to trace the car.

Get ppl working in bank hire purchase / auto financing to help.

Do a fast database query on all Toyota Camry models with bare info such as Model, Plate Number, Name, ID number, Address, etc.
Filter by Plate Numbers "CONTAIN" 7641.
Filter by name of the hirer and then do an FIS checking on the person's name and ID number.

All these will probably takes about 10-15mins.

hope she will be released soon.

The crime level is quite bad now, we now stand shoulders to shoulders with those countries where crime rate and kidnapping is the norm of the day.... sad ... but true...

good to hear that she is free now. i sincerely believe that the publicity received in the blogs aided the quick release. our bloggers have demonstrated their influence on the society. top stuff, jeff.

This girl is not so fortunate.. still missing

What menarinari01 suggested is important. The PDRM traffic offices have direct links to the JPJ database. In such cases, time is the essence. If the people have a special mobile number to sms, they can sms the authorities to act quickly the moment such a thing happens.

Kidnapped fashion designer freed
Charles Ramendran

SHAH ALAM (Nov 29, 2007): A 25-year-old fashion designer, whose photos were put up on the Internet in a plea to the public to help look for her following her abduction at Hicom Glenmarie Industrial Park here early Wednesday, was freed by her assailants today.

The woman, who works for a textile and footwear company, was walking to her office on Jalan U1/20 after parking her car in an open carpark nearby, when a Toyota Camry pulled over next to her at about 9am.

It is learnt that two men stepped out and bundled the victim into the car, which sped off after that.

The incident was witnessed by her colleagues, who alerted the police.

It is learnt that for the next 22 hours, the victim was taken on a terror ride to several locations, including Seremban.

Shah Alam deputy police chief Supt Mohd Shariff Abd Wahid said the woman was released in Taman Midah, Cheras today after her abductors managed to withdraw RM3,500 from her bank accounts through automated teller machines.

The woman was sent for a medical check-up in Selayang Hospital where she was warded.

"We have yet to record a statement from her on what transpired throughout her ordeal but we are tracking down the abductors based on the information we have," Mohd Shariff said.

After informing the police, the victim’s colleagues sent out emails with several photos of her and a note urging the public to alert the police if they spot her.

Blogs and online forums also put out word on her abduction which became a hot topic of discussion in several websites.

Mohd Sharif said although the police understood the colleagues’ concern for her safety, the police did not encourage the public to post details on the Internet.

He said this can put the victim's life in danger should the abductors discover that the police were looking for them.
