theSun: 'Probe into Ali Rustam's speech'

The October 15 speech by Umno vice president cum Malacca Chief Minister, Mohd Ali Rustam, at the People’s Progressive Party’s state convention has become a headline story in theSun.

Did Ali, the prime suspect in perpetrating the recent pig farm demolition controversy, say all these right in the face of all PPP delegates?
1 ) Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is a pengecut (coward)?
2 ) The Perak Menteri Besar is kaki bodek?
3 ) Tthe Pahang Menteri Besar is gila who does crazy things?
4 ) The PPP should get out of Barisan Nasional?

According to theSun, the Prime Minister has asked his officers to verify and to investigate complaints made by PPP members that the Umno vice-president had, besides asking the PPP to leave the Barisan Nasional, also insulted other BN and Umno leaders. Quote:

Mohd Ali, who opened the PPP state convention on Oct 15, had in his speech told the PPP that it could leave the coalition if it was not satisfied with the lack of seat allocation. What did not make the news was his alleged use of disparing remarks made about other leaders.

Following his speech, Mohd Ali told journalists covering the event that his remarks were meant for delegates and that they should not publish it.

"There is decorum to be practised among BN members. They don't go around talking bad about fellow members. So the PM is concerned about this," said a source. "The PM has already asked his aides and officers to investigate."

"We don't know how the PM is going to deal with it, but the findings will be discussed in closed doors at the Umno Supreme Council meeting since the alleged remarks were directed at Umno members," said another source, adding that the PM's aides are in the midst of obtaining a recording of the day’s events to verify the accusations.

“If proven true, Ali Rustam will be asked to explain and may face censure," the source added.

When contacted, PPP president M. Kayveas declined comment, merely saying he has informed Abdullah of Mohd Ali's remarks.

Ali is the senior-most Umno vice president by default after Mohd Isa Samad was removed in 2004 for implication in money politics. This made him besar kepala being the immediate next-in-line to the party's deputy chief, Najib Abdul Razak,

This fler also said he was with Najib the previous night, as though what he said was sanctioned by the DPM.
Are we seeing battle lines being drawn in the run up to the UMNO General Assembly? One thing is however clear, Ali Rustam is one of Najib's macai.

Probe? BN spirit. ROFL. don't make me laugh.

When Ali Rustam did that, we know he has done all calculation of the outcome : positively! I bet many umno delegates are envy him for seizing the golden opportunity to deliver the snipping speech.

When BN member become "one step better than NGO", it is just matter of time they become irrelevant.

Make no mistake that AR are doing a favor for Semi Value, because MIC are also irrelevant now. What AR did are just passing message, from the 4th floor.

Don't get so excited la. Firstly got to make sure authenticity of all the evidence presented so far. Even if there are videos of the speech, its authenticity has to be verified. Eye witnesses can be C4ed and the PPP members who were there know that. That is why they are keeping silent. Anyway, Badawi is a pengecut as claimed by Ali Rustam and you think Badawi dares to act against him? No way hozay!.

PM pengecut? I am not so sure. He acted against Isa Samad didn't he? He could act against this fler too and even Najib if he wanted to.

He is too pengecut to act against Ali, PM is not stupid..He know najib is abcking Rusatam, Rustam knows he got najib behind him. i am sure he has calculated this one.

PM will come out with a statement "it was all a misunderstanding' and everybody lived happily ever after..except maybe PPP Kayveas

Hmmm, let me predict the results of the investigation:

1) He was misquoted by the media,

2) He gets away with a warning,

3) He is innocent and the PPP has framed him,

4) He did not know what happened. The words just came out of his mouth,

5) He did nothing wrong and the PPP is over-reacting,

6) He was just giving a friendly advice to the PPP and he did not utter anything against other UMNO members and the PM,

7) All the PPP members have not cleaned their ears of waxes and have heard him wrong.

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
