Ahemm... (Now) 'I know what you did last summer'
December is summer for Australia, which lies in the southern hemisphere.
Last December, Johor -- the bastion of Umno -- had the worst floods since 1969, causing at least 17 deaths and damaging multi-million worth of laymen's properties and belongings.
Kota Tinggi, the constituency for Umno and Foreign Minister Syed Hamid Albar, was in deep waters coded Red Alert by the meteorological department.
People were grumbling that our VVIP YBs were out of town, and even the PM was booked to open a nasi kandar shop in Perth, which was closed down swiftly months after.
The country was plunged into remote control mode, and Screenshots had a record of this.
Ten month had passed and only now do we know what our PM did last summer when Johor was in floods.
The testimony came from Datuk Seri Jean Todt, Datuk Michelle Yeoh's fiance, via The Star (Lifestyle, October 8, 2007):

From the mouth of Ferrari Boss... SOURCE: The Star (see PDF here)
Christmas 2006 and New Year Day 2007 coincided with the climax days of the Big Floods in Johor.
From money politics to moral politics, pardon the C-grader movie, now we know what you did last summer, Mr Prime Minister.
And summer is fast approaching Perth again.

Worse than the crime of rape, blunder, corruption and treason is the joining of the dots!
JEff Ooi you now have identified for the UMNO led Barisan Nasional Government what their biggest pain in the arse is. It is people like you who join the dots from completely different sources and different contexts!
I shall recommend to the UMNO led Barisan Nasinal Government that their first trask upon getting back after Hari Raya is to make illegal the joining of dots from completely unrelated stories carried by the press.
Now you see you have made a fool of Zam who is supposed to have told the press that he need not know all of the truth and by the same token people too don't need to know all of the truth!!!

Sailing with the Ferrari boss while Johore was flooded so badly? Can't help recalling "Nero fiddling while Rome burnt".
Alamak Pak Lah. I am so disappointed with you. If there is some comment which you have about this, I would hope you do not resort to elegant silences again.
Certainly the mangsa banjir in Johore should have some very thorny questions for BN candiates come the looming General Elections.
As in "where was our PM when the rakyat needed him?". Jolly jolly in Perth?
But life is full of thorny questions. If I was a French citizen, I would be asking "Just what on earth did Michelle Yeoh do for France to deserve our highest civilian honour?"

Yes, I felt utterly disgusted and sick to the stomach at the total lack of feelings of our PM for its people's sufferings when I read Jean Todt's revelations.
As a Johorean, all of us were pitching in to help in any way we can at the height of the crisis. I witnessed ordinary people using their own boats and risking their lives to go into the flood stricken areas to help evacuate the victims. My teenage daughter went to help to distribute food and aid at the evacuation centres and to victims who were left with nothing.
And all this while, our PM was having an obscenely gala time in Perth not just opening the nasi kandar restaurant but also sucking up to the rich jet set because you can connect the whole bunch together. Monsoon Cup, Patrick Lim's Perth house which AAB was using, Michelle Yeoh/Jean Todt and Pulau Duyong. It sounded too much of a coincidence. The whole thing smacks of a preplanned frolick together.
Malaysia's version of "Nero partying while Rome burns" aka "PM partying in Perth while Johor floods"

Now lets see the Abdullah government spin doctors try to deny this piece of information.
Don't want to take responsibility in the event of natural disasters afflicting the country? Just get out of the country for a quick sojourn.

Man's true measures are shown when he faces good or bad fortune.
In this case, the majority win in the last election has turned all of them to the dark side of the force.
They do nothing, wait for the situation to get really bad, then come out and throw a morsel or two at the suffering rakyat who then think they're great.
So he went sailing overseas while floods drowned 17 in Johor.
He might as well have sailed into the sunset and let his deputy take over.
But then we also remember what happened to mindef records and purchases at humungous prices in shady deals when this deputy was its minister. Knowing his character, it means the next PM will be by proxy the wife.
So after that, who? the SIL? would Nazri repeat his performance and call that kid racist too?
So, after that, what? would Zam the MOP tell the rakyat not to say anything, not to read blogs, not to tell the truth, so that the new PMs of this country won't have to know. Will there be a rash of plastic surgeries?
In just over a span of four years, we have all gone through so many things together.
Now they are looking to outer space what they persistently refuse to face up to right before their eyes. Jarjis must have had to squeeze the last dregs of his own engineering education just to say putting up a space programme for this country will increase its 'prosperity'.
For who, may we ask?

All of us must understand the reason why he was boating in Australia during the Johor flood and not in Johor. The Johor flood is not big enough for him to do boating. ;-)

To Badawi, his occupation is "Prime Minister". He is not waking up every day in the morning and eagerly go to office to "run the country". It is this mindset that make him just the same as any employee! So why care about flood? It is his holidays, he thought, that he has applied for and got approved.
Unlike Bush, when WTC was hit, he quickly excuse himself with the children in the school to attend the disaster.
It isn't just a JOB, it is a RESPONSIBILITY. And our Badawi lack it.

Leithaisor: Well the same goes for a Malaysian citizen like me asking "Just what on earth did Jean Todt do for Malaysia to deserve a Datuk-ship?"
Both partners (of each respective countries) are complementing each other with high civilian honours. Status quo? It sure is.
But thanks to Monsieur Todt that for our PM, it sure is a case of pecah lubang rahsia (busted secret). Shame on you AAB, Shame on you.

The administration is in a state of decay. Lies, deceit, robbery and corruption has reached a gangrenous state. Even if we chopped off No 1, the one in waiting is hardly of material. The future is bleak but change we must try for!

I have a confession to make........... I actually believe AAB and voted for him during the last general election giving him a very strong mandate. Worst still I convinced all my family members to do like wise. At least now I realised how foolish I was.
