Jeff, perhaps you can try accessing it via a foreign proxy server, to circumvent the slow links from tmnut to US?

In a somewhat related news, Gmail is slowly turning on IMAP support for the e-mail accounts :)

could be related to the IMAP support gmail is enabling. IMAP has a longer keep-alive persistent connection which may worsen the congestion.

or could be of the fires. ;-]

Jeff (and other readers as well), do you know if this only affected TMNet / Streamyx users, or also other local ISPs as well?

I use Streamyx in KL (in my SoHo office) and its working well..
