Walk With Us; March With Them
In helping us fend off our defamation suits, our lawyers have decided to Walk With Us.
Now that the lawyers themselves are taking on a Peaceful March to Save Judiciary, we -- Rocky and I -- will march with them this Wednesday, peacefully.
Comments
There is not a squeak about this march in the print media. But the concerted Spin & damage control now is thru the STAR (Deputy Minsiter Fu Ah Kow) asking people not to speculate (and he himself was speculating - “video clip merely shows a telephone conversation between the lawyer and another person. We don't know exactly what they are talking about”. And from the NST (online) Nazri said had a call from CJ Ahmad Fairuz denying he was “at the other end of the line”. So now who is this Datuk he was talking to? Hasn't DAP Lim K S nailed him on the sequence of dates?

A denial was apparently made via Nazri. $64 question:
a) Who made the denial?
b) Was it the relevant person?
c) Any other judge of similar standing?
You can imagine Nazri asking a "boxing match" judge? I deny I'm the alleged judge on the other side of the phone conversation!
JEFF OOI says: In the separation of powers concept in Parliamentary Democracy, the Judiciary is independent of the Executive. The CJ (Judiciary) shouldn't make press statements through a junior Cabinet Minister (Executive). This is outrageous.
