Police (or Malaysia) karate-ed?

It looks like a hopeless mess. We whacked the Arabs. Now, we whacked Indonesian.

Donald Luther Kalapita, Indonesian karate referee, was a guest in Malaysia to attend the 8th Asian Karate Championship. He alleged that he was beaten up and kicked in a police car while he was handcuffed -- in Malaysia!

Kalapita suffered serious injuries as a result. Doctors at Pertamina Hospital confirmed that Kalapita`s condition was now stable and his eye-sight and hearing had began to function normally after suffering the trauma of hard blows

Indonesians are fuming, and our badminton players had to return home prematurely over security concerns amid growing anti-Malaysia protests.

Since Wisma Putra was reluctant to say sorry, let us Bangsa Malaysia apologise to our Indonesian brother on behalf of our Malaysian people.

Thus far, four police personnel were suspended. Details are as opaque as black.

I saw the news report from the Star News and it ain't pretty at all. On the eve of our national day, shown on TV was the protest by the Indonesian where our Jalur Gemilang was put on fire and tramped on, the anger was real. None of these were shown nor reported by our national media and dailies. UMNO Youth did not even make any sound at all on how our Jalur Gemilang were being treated. I felt embarassed and small.

aren't they our UMNO's brothers? well, we gives them thousands of jobs a year and let them roam freely in Malaysia (provided they support UMNO). Heck we even gives them citizenship if they vote for UMNO. Why protest against us? Even some of our Ministers are from Indonesia. BTW, they still can't get rid of their mother tongue and yelled "Goblok".

ahahaha!! I wrote about this first in Star Interactive...

XP

but yeah, as a part Indon fellow, I'm kinda surprised it took so long to issue out an apology.

even more surprised that the cops are not in jail.

no worries, just only suspended. they will be back in business after 2 weeks.

Jeff, I think you are very mistaken, where got police beating, there is no such thing as police brutality in lokap neither is there any brutality in Kamunting or Sg Buloh (ask Brother Anwar), semua PDRM baik2 belaka, tatak songlap duit punya, tatak pukul orang punya

Its very sickening to read again and again about M'sian police brutality towards detainees.

If there is a case, then charge the person accordingly based on evidence. Definitely not by using violents.

Apology? I'm sure it'll come from Wisma Putra someday. But an apology alone is not enough. The government must ensure there're never be a repeat of police brutality.

Indonesian protest? Hey Indonesia!. You gives us M'sian a NEW season (NOT autumn, winter, summer & fall) annually when I and many were choked by your burning haze. E V E R Y Y E A R!!!!

Is apology enough? The right action is to ensure no repeat of similar displesantness.

UMNO, and Badawi inparticular, have brought about and caused the desecration and trampling of the Jalur Gemilang under the feet of a rightfully angry Indonesian mob. Hearing the RTM Engish radio news yesterday, one would have felt embarrassed that the Indonsian President referring to the mob's pursuit of Malaysians in Indonesia to harass, cited the Malaysian Prime Minister as having called him on the eve of Merdeka to ask for forgiveness!

Why UMNO? Why Badawi? Why have you allowed this state of affairs to have arisen where all Malaysians feel so ashamed that our leader has had to ask for forgiveness. Would it not have been better to commit harakiri?

I guess since you have cited that 4 culprits would be dealt legally, I can only conclude that they will get away with just a pat in the arm! After all we know what the prosecution and judiciary have come to lately, don't we?

bambang Yodhuyono the president did not attend our merdeka bash. jussof kalla was there instead. There was a report of another death after a local youth was arrested before merdeka in a drugs operasi.
seems like our police are watching too much NYPD.
burning of Malaysian flag is done on a regular basis in indonesia. ours is third after US and israel.

We must sue them, bring them to court as in like Wong Meng Chee. And this is more serious. Burning of jalur gemilang and trampling on it.

Look now, who is goblok?

Actually, from the evidence and collection of trampled flags at Dataran Shah Alam, I would think most of us are guilty of desecrating the country.

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
