The Point is...
I finally got hold of a copy of Indonesia's new English newspaper, The Point.

It's the 259th edition and almost a year after Unspun had talked about how it's different from The Jakarta Post. (If Malaysian Press is a hotbed for PR-wannabes, Indonesia's is riddled with 'bandits'.)
It's promising for a 16-page broadsheet that uses two-fonts-on-same-page for news headlines that focus on business and finance. Clean and neat. And slightly cheaper cover price at Rp4,000.
One year past, The Point has yet to create a web presence. The domain name, thepoint-daily.com, currently hosts the paper's internal emails.

Jeff: Hotbed for PR wannabes? But can Malaysian companies:
1. Use PR effectively
2. Afford the rates of real professional PR people?
My experience is that they understand too little of PR and are to kedekut. And we're not even talking about the very bad habit they have of not paying their bills on time.
