But a bit of caution here - it IS possible to pretend to be somebody else on line, with a bit of clever technique.

Have not gone into understading the background story...but feel kind of strange for someone to put "recipient of what what award" under the signature......

I can't imagine how can anyone recommend the antijeffooi site as a site with a different view. The name says it all. I went to the site but there is nothing alternative.

That site contains nothing but hatred and anger. There are no real hard facts. There are no names. I find it unusual for the owner/blogger who claims to provide alternative views under a veil.

If that site really intends on providing an alternative - I will be very happy to read it. But there are no alternative views / rebuttal given to so many of the factual substantiated stories that Jeff Ooi writes.

That site conveniently avoids the real issue - spamming and ripping innocent layman of their money.

I seriously question the IQ and the integrity of anyone recommending such a website.

i spent 5 mins of my morning breakfast time for the antijeffooi site and it was indeed dreadful. Uncle rain needs to get a real job if he can’t bring value to the society rather than hitting out at everything that you put up

I have problem reaching Uncle Rain blog from google search result, since it is freshly born blog and google spider doesnt't crawl much on it.

Sorry Jeff. That entry back then was written in a light-hearted tone, with no malicious intentions whatsoever. I apologise that it is now being picked up by the faceless coward as a weapon to try to discredit you. Sorry.

the two screenshots that show baba's IP. one is on 28th May at 4pm, the other 29th May at 9pm, assuming GMT+0800. whatever the case, both posts are 29 hours apart, but the IP is same. either the guy never logged off his streamyx or it is a static IP. only the enterprise or corporate package of streamyx has static IP [http://www.tm.net.my/html/htm/product_streamyx/to_know.htm]. however, the same IP was used by Goh in the email that we have reason to believe originated from his office, it being a Thursday at noon. and that gives us even more reason to believe that the IP is a fixed one as it is used by MK's office. to prove this, you may wanna ask if tmnet will let you know the real scenario behind the IP. also, the comments made at 4pm and 9pm - are they GMT+0800? =]

Our government said wanted to classify Professional and Unprofessional bloggers. When will that be done? Now we have a very good example to tell Professional (jeffooi) and Unprofessional (antijeffooi). This is a good study case for all!

So now our bloggers must push government to quickly get it up, don't just talk only for the sake of "political" reason. Talk only, no action, is bad to the country.

Well, the anti-jeff is so poorly written - it's hilarious to think that Uncle Rain intends for the blog to be for "academic purposes". Clearly, it's hardly the work of an intellectual.

The language is too poor even for Primary 3. The arguments cannot even hold water in a Secondary School debate. The only thing academic - "example of how to kiss the PM's ass".

Anyone who can enjoy such a blog (eg, Henry) surely has bad taste and err...single digit IQ?

What search string did Henry Goh used to find the antijeffooi site? I tried "jeff ooi", "anti jeff ooi", "uncle rain", and combination of the above, all didn't turn up any hit. Interesting.

if proven that any CPs were directly involved in these SMS scam, they MUST be brought to justice!

Hope Ernst & Young who award this joker the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur Award Recipient 2006 will do their homework in future before awarding the award.

Jeff, Thanks for your time and effort to expose this scam so tenaciously. The question on my mind is whether those affected by the scam, will be refunded? I had received such smses but do not have itemised billing to verify whether actually cheated. Taken up the matter with Celco, response I get is will check. No action so far. Feel cheated.

Hi Jeff, I just visited the antijeffooi site to see what was written. Alot of air to distract from the crux of issue. We ( i think I and family have been scammed),do not care the awards that they might have received from their business acumens. Bottom line, we unsuspecting celco users been cheated. How are we going to be compensated and they who committed the crime be punished.
