ORIGINAL POSTING
I am urging all Alleycats fans, like me, to send your best regards to Loga (Loganathan Arumugam).
His elder brother, David, revealed that his sibling has been diagnosed with lung cancer, and was admitted to the Mount Miriam Hospital, Penang, on Saturday. "(His condition is bad but) he is trying his best to fight this,” David said.
“I love my brother, and I pray and hope he gets well. I hope his fans and fellow Malaysians will pray for his fast recovery,'' said David.
Sampaikanlah Salam... It's time to resonate our love to this Malaysian music-maker we have adored for the last three decades...
Shower him with Sekuntum Mawar Merah, to cheer him up, if you happen to be in Penang.
(Trima) K'ssayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
Comments
anyone taking the Senandung seMalam to Penang? Do Sampaikan Salam Lulu kepadanya. Offer him Sekuntum Mawar Merah Sebuah Puisi, and tell him, Harapan Masih Ada.
Trima Kasehhhh!!
btw, my favourite song from them is "Jika Kau Bercinta Lagi"

Alleycats filled part of my childhood. Those were the days where I "lepak" with my Malay friends after school. We were color blind until we moved into secondary.
Then, no more Alleycats.. no more Gersang. No more Lima Sekawan.

Andainya aku pergi dulu sebelum mu...
Rest in peace Loga. You shall always live on as a memory of how Malaysians were once blind of colour and creed and a promise of how we could once again be that way.

may loga's soul rest in peace.
as a child, i used to enjoy alleycats' music very much. love the song (cover version) 'rindu bayangan'.
the alleycats used to frequent a billard room at one of the church i used to attend and at times i did run into them.

I must confess of not having purchased any Alleycat albums, but they are still a Malaysian icon to me. I recall frequently reading about them in the press.
May Loga find peace eternal. May Alleycats' inclusive brand of music, give hope and inspiration, especially in these recent dark hours of Malaysian history.

What an evergreen band. And I thought the band would be together forever. Dad loves the Alleycats although I'm not that much of a fan, their classic songs are good easy listening.
Rest In Peace Loga~
