Errata: Prepaid itemised billing
I have to apologise for a factual error I made in my blog entry today, titled SMS Scam ( 16 ): The Nikolai Dobberstein Files: The Maxis media Q&A that didn't get to print.
It has been pointed out to me that DiGi did not start offering itemised billing for its prepaid customers since last year.
DiGi had, in fact, started providing itemised billing for its prepaid customers since three years ago, that's April 2004.
I sincerely apologise for the factual error I made in the blog entry this morning, and have had the mistake corrected accordingly.
However, my claims that to date Maxis and Celcom have yet to provide itemised billing for their prepaid subscribers shall remain UNCHALLENGED and UNCHANGED -- three solid years after DiGi has 'been there, done that'.
Comments
DIGI was able to retreive the itemised billing for prepaid earlier..got a case with them on 2003, their GPRS charging system was unable properly compute as per their advertised rate. fought the case at CFM and finally after more than 1 year i got 80-90% of all my lost prepaid value recovered.
at that time they were already able to print out the itemised billing for my prepaid acc.

Jeff,
Are you not expecting a little too much? You expect crooks and burglars to leave home without their tools? Or alternatively you think they want to leave a trail behind so they get caught easily? Digi are stupid...they try to be clever and issue billings for prepaid customers so they get less money as a result as the bigger ECPs probably realise that that is not good for their kind of "business". Now, when Maxis and Celcom both know that they are sitting on a gravy train here you think for one minute they are in any hurry to send out statements to pre-paid customers?
