Ad-ban: Papers defy KK & 4th Floor Boys

In the end, newspapers which were told not to accept congratulatory advertorials on the Abdullah-Jeanne wedding showed their middle fingers at the instructor/s.

Practically, newspapers of all major languages had run the congratulatory ads, including felicitations from the respective media groups.

The NST Group today carried congratulatory ads inserted by two state governments -- Sarawak's in The NST and Berita Harian, and Kedah's in Berita Harian.

The Star
carried a full-page ad taken by the Berjaya Group yesterday, and the paper's own ad in today's edition.

theSun today carried three full-page ads today, inserted by Sunrise Group (owned by Tong Kooi Ong), Berjaya Group (owned by Vincent Tan), and Nexnews Media Group (co-owned by Tong and Tan) which publishes the free tabloid.

Sin Chew also carried two congratulatory ads, one inserted by Tiong Hiew King of Rimbunan Hijau and Sin Chew Media groups; and the other by Melaka Umno and the party's state chief, Mohd Ali Rustam.

Interestingly, the Weekend Mail carried an ad from an obscure-looking Ph.D cum Datuk.

===========================So it will not be a "simple wedding" after all.

I thought AAB wanted a simple wedding, ...change of plans...cabinet ministers, dignitaries..

It will be a big headache for the 4th floor boys to separate the dignitaries from the dignitaries.

How does one gets invited?

I sense plenty of opportunities...

The State Government using tax payer funds for something NOT RELATED to administration? WTH and WTF. And don't forget Kedah and Sawarak deems the poorest state in Bolehland.

In addition, I think the Prime Minister must banned government department from spend/budget money on his wedding. Otherwise, those m*th*r f*ck*r minister/department/supervisor head will take opportunities to "raise funds" for "Prime Minister wedding presents".

The NS govt also had an ad out, Star or Mingguan. Why the need to place an ad on taxpayers account when it was told clearly no ads???

I hope Pak Lah will not spend taxpayers money on the banquet. His son or SIL should foot the bill. Jimatlah sikit Pak Lah, contohi Raja Nazrin!!!!

Some time ago, it was reported in the news that you had to pay a third party to get an appointment with the PM. Of course this was denied by SIL.

I wonder if this time there will be "conmen" around selling seats for the banquet? Like for a fee, you will get an invitation??

Hey, this Dato' Dr. Jason goh fellow not satisfied with the Weekend Mail ad, thinking Badawi might have missed it....after all it was his wedding day, some more advertised in The Sun I think once again..and don't know how many more....Anyway, can someone tell me how all this works eh? All these for a thank you card from the PM's office or maybe for an invitation to some dinner!!! Or is it to frame and put out in your office!!!

OK, congrats, new wife and all.

Now, why the fish did you feel you had to lie to the nation when someone asked you about Jeanne some months ago?

I'd at least expect some truth from you. There is a serious character flaw man.

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
