MC2 Award sledge-hammered; Kancil triumphs

The 4As (Association of Accredited Advertising Agents) has decided not to endorse the Malaysian Creative Circle (MC2) Awards because it would not benefit the industry by having two local advertising award shows, said 4As president Vincent Lee of Naga DDB.

Last week, the 4As notified its members that it was not endorsing the MC2 Awards.

Subsequently, MC2 Awards organiser Sledge-hammer Communications (M) Sdn Bhd announced the show's cancellation, citing the 4As' decision as a factor.

This leaves the advertising industry with one main creative awards competition – the Kancil Awards organised by the 4As. Via StarBiz.
