I think SV should determine why the cost is high:
1. Is it due to negotiated contract??.
2. Is it due to the tunnel being SMART?

SV should also consider whether the user is paying for the dual functions (road and floodwater diversion) or usage of the road only? Why should a road user, who only use the road pay for the function of the floodwater diversion?

Since everthing is NAIK, I wonder is petrol going to NAIK this year?

All this teasing, tickling and stroking about erections is gonna make some people angry, and you know, you wouldn't like the guys when they're angry...
All this chain-reaction's gonna take a toll (another sensitive word) on the up-coming elections. They're gonna have to spend more. And the more they spend, the more erections we're gonna get. They're already blaming all this awareness on the internet... and bloggers' comments.

I think all these increases would have been well accepted if the Govt has used all the revenues and taxes collected wisely instead of plonking them away on "white elephants" hospitals (belum buka sudah breakdown), negotiated tenders and all other excesses that dont benefit the rakyat. As it is, we just have to get used to NAIK Harga while the politicians wine and dine away unashamedly unless we do something drastic at the next genaral election. I definitley will not vote for people who caused all these NAIKs and still can laugh happily to the banks.

As usual the gov will make sure the concession companies make lots of money. The rakyats must pay for it if they want to use it.

The concession period is 40 years, If it were to be as profitable as LDP, assuming the maintenance cost is the same (I think it is higher though), if the traffic rate is 400k per day, the toll rate has to be around RM2. If the traffic rate is 200k per day, the toll rate has to be around RM4. If the traffic is 100k per day, the toll rate has to be around RM8. That's lots of profit, again, they'll make back the RM1.9bil cost in just five years time.

We are, last I checked, not in the parliament, so we get more room to make jokes.

All these are the result of the rent seeker syndrome and all they can think about every second of the day is how to squeeze the country dry. Wealth building is not in the vocab of such rent seekers that permeate the political community .The rakyat will forever have to pay more and more so that these shameless rent seekers can go in their merry ways as if it is their divine right.
I have given up feeling let down by the these despicable lot and all I can do is to wait for the erection to do my small bit for self satisfaction.

This is not nation building, this is a self enriching scam by a minority few. It's sad to see a nation to end like this and we are still kidding ourselves that by 2020 we will be a developed nation. We will never be as long as the system is corrupted, an infliction of viruses that have no cure.

The erection I mentioned was only an emphasis on Jeff's take. Not in reference to any part of anatomy. Whereas the 'bocor' our "honorable" MPs were sniggering about points to the woman's monthly period, not unrinating. If you urinate only once a month I'll be sending you flowers.
