Bloggers feature in World Press Freedom Day 2007
Today, May 3, the United Nations lead the world in commemorating World Press Freedom Day 2007.
This year, bloggers shall feature prominently in Malaysia's observation of the meaningful day.
Al-Jazeera International, which broadcasts from Kuala Lumpur for the Asia-Pacific segment, will air a week-long programme on bloggers in the region on its 101 East on ASTRO Channel 20 from today, May 3 (Thursday) at 10.30 pm.
Here is the schedule for repeats:
- May 4 (Friday) at 1.30 pm
- May 5 (Saturday) at 3.30 pm and 9.30 pm
- May 6 (Sunday) at 4.30 pm
- May 7 (Monday) at 10.30 am
- May 8 (Tuesday) at 11.00 am
- May 9 (Wednesday) at 9.30 am and 3.00 pm
- May 10 (Thursday) at 8.30 am

The Centre of Independent Journalists (CIJ) is holding a 2-day People's Art Fest at the Central Market, on May 5 - 6.
