I hardly read columns myself so I don’t know much about them. I just feel that a column should be personal, idiosyncratic (hopefully, not idiotic) and definitely opinionated – “Hey, what I’m saying is just my personal opinion so don’t get all angsty over it, okay? Mine is not the voice of God.”

And what good is a column if it doesn’t ruffle feathers? You, dear reader, would get bored. It’s got to be provocative. And it would have no room for ampu-bodekism, no licking of the nether parts of anyone. If you don’t like it, well, go shopping.
