Ijokian's blog: Catch Santa before he leaves town!

In "If there's an election, there's a will" (theSun, April 19, 2007 Pg 24), Terence Fernandez wrote in his DOWN TO EARTH column:
... the ruling coalition has held the seat since 1964 -- MIC's Datuk K. Sivalingam served four terms until his demise and the late Datuk N.S. Maniam before him.
And yet, for a community in a self-proclaimed developed state, Ijok looks like rural PAS-run Kelantan, lacking development... Incidentally, Ijok charts one of the highest poverty rates in the state. [...]
In any case, by-elections are good for the people. They can get almost anything their hearts desire in record time. What takes years to complete or provide is done in days.
It just shows that those empowered and obligated to carry out their duties for the people, can in fact do so minus the bureaucracy -- it's just the case of having the will.
When votes are at stake, the government machinery suddenly becomes super efficient. Heck, if that's the case, no need for Pemudah and 101 committees and sub-committees to improve the delivery system.
Let's just have more by-elections and start drawing up our wish list.
That's what the journalist said.
Now let's hear out what a young Ijokian has to say, using blog.
SushiSalmon -- http://sushisalmon.blogspot.com -- an Indian-Malaysian blogging from Singapore who contacted me to share his 10-point wishlist yesterday -- said his town-folks must grab the Santa Claus before he leaves town come April 29, the morning after Voting Day.
I have with-held SushiSalmon's name for obvious reasons. But his 10-point wishlist is very much down-to-earth local developmental issues that BN-MIC didn't seem to do good since 1964:
1 ) Improve public transportation
2 ) Escalating crime rates
3 ) Build science stream in SM Rantau Panjang
4 ) Stop dumping site around Kg Hang Tuah
5 ) Repair srainage system and remove mosquito menace
6 ) Fill-up potholes in town
7 ) Have more regular 'Meet-your-ADUN' sessions
8 ) Lack of social integration in the Ijok community
9 ) Act on dirty eateries
10 ) Solve congestion in the main towns
Semuanya OK, Khir?
Comments
ahh theSUn,
If you check out CuitSikit you will notice that he and other selangot umno people are saying that theSun is anti MB Selangor.

1 ) Improve public transportation - non-existance in putrajaya as well.
2 ) Escalating crime rates-white collar ones in putrajaya
3 ) Build science stream in SM Rantau Panjang - our civil servants and MP's are mostly arts stream. They would not have a clue how science stream students can contribute since most are not promoted upwards in these departments.
4 ) Stop dumping site around Kg Hang Tuah
5 ) Repair drainage system and remove mosquito menace - similar problems in putrajaya except the bloodsuckers are even bigger and controls the nation's destiny.
6 ) Fill-up potholes in town-in putrajaya, they fill up their pockets with money meant for ijok potholes.
7 ) Have more regular 'Meet-your-ADUN' sessions- sure if you have a million bucks and willing to pay advance fees
8 ) Lack of social integration in the Ijok community-shut all religious sites and the community will unite.
9 ) Act on dirty eateries-consumer's choice.
10 ) Solve Congestion in the main town - are you joking. Jams in pot holed filled ijok town saddled with a high poverty rate?
So really, there is not much difference between ijok and putrajaya.

Selangor, developed state
Look at Ijok, it is a joke. Hahahahaahahahahaha.
So next time better checkout age, medical report and lifestyle of these candidate.
I guess the new slogan for Malaysia ADUN are :
A death MP/Seater is better than slice bread?
or
Unhealthy candidates, goodies for constituency
Since BN keep promoting this kind of goodies giveaway in all mainstream media, those kampung folks will learn "By election is better than general election". Perhaps next election the opposition should get some "medical unfit/terminally ill" candidates to those "unbeatable" BN seat. I bet they will win.

heck, I'm anti MB Selangor too since he went to chop down half of Taman Pertanian.
I see SushiSalmon's points better than the one brought up by Anwar Ibrahim himself, since he's insisting people vote for PKR because Najib [ DELETED ] ...
Dude, that isn't even linked to Ijok! What the hell?
PKR should stop the personal attacks and bring up the 10 issues listed.

Is it now becoming a trend that you will have to wait for "someone" to die before you will get some development? Can I start building a wishlist?

Just think of it if there is such a thing as a 'Death Note'?
Should we wish for more kick-da-bucket cases?
Really dark humour.

Jeff, here's a scoop you might want to look into. Apparently a photojournalist blogger (could it be you?) was attacked along with the PKR candidate in Ijok:

Jeff, I hate to say this, but in order to have a by-election and then enjoy the many goodies that come along with it, one must also pray that the ADUN 'kick the bucket' first. Without this, the people can just dream on.

Looking at the ladies smiling away in the pix above tells me that:
1. "Hey its ok to higher petrol prices while PETRONAS makes the billions"
2. "Hey its ok to high toll fees"
3. "Hey, its ok to be poor while those UMNO leaders get richer by the day"
4. "Hey its ok if our DPM is a suspected murderer"
5. "Hey, its ok if our DPM has been collecting millions of ringgits as commission earned from the submarine sales."
It just sickens me!
