Ijok... 1904 or 2004?
Taking the cue from a reader, I checked again this IC no -- 040905745370 -- against the Election Commission (EC's) online database search.

I wonder if this Mdm Lim Gho, female, from the locality of 096 / 11 / 06 / 001 - KG BAHRU IJUK, was born in the year 1904 or 2004.
She could be 103 years old if born in 1904, or merely 2 years old if born in 2004.
Will her vote count this April 28 to decide the next elected representative of Ijok?
Related blog entry here. Are these isolated cases restricted to the polling districts of Bukit Badung and Pekan Ijok?

I dont think that this is an isolated case. It is that the SPR database is not cleaned up and you can check from other constituency that similar cases are being found.
Whether they come forward to vote or not, this left to be desired.

According to SPR list, Ijok will make a world record for the HIGHEST DENSITY of 100+ years old ELDEST in the world.

First of all, I wish to know if the first two digits of the IC denotes the year the card holder was borne? May have another version of understanding before we could go further.
JEFF OOI says: You missed what other readers had helped us withtheir research. The first 6 digits of the new IC/MyKad denotes the date of birth (yymmdd), the 7th & 8th digits being state codes, and the last 4 digits being the personal identifier where odd number at the last digit denotes male, and even number denotes female.

This is hilarious!
Based on your sampling size, there could be a population of errors out there.

Like the Chinese saying, "Tien-sha-woo-yar-ee-bun-hei", translated "all the crows under the sky are just as black"... go figure!
Ijok? More like a joke!

I am very sure this IC NO. belongs to 103 years old lady. It's because there is a 7-digits old IC NO. that go together with the 12-digits new IC No.
If I remember correctly, anyone in this country that is currently around 30 years old or less will not have old IC NO.
Suddenly I've a very sick feeling that some "Minah Rempit" on a "110CC kapcai" or "in a bus" will come casting the vote "on the behalf" of this 103 years old lady. Our "limited edition" of democracies are in deep trouble indeed.

don't you guys worry, in the next few days, these two "celebrities", Pak Ispani and Mdm Lim will appear in the main stream medias behind BN banners to prove to the world that SPR made no mistakes.
PKR just got to be ready with their DNA kits.

I feel this is much ado about nothing. the records looks authentic and with the old ic, i believe the 2 persons are above 100. Maybe some one should visit them to authentic the records.
