Ijok... 1899 or 1999?
The Election Commission (EC) has an online search function for the electoral roll. It's located at: http://daftarj.spr.gov.my/daftar.asp.
Taking the cue from a reader's comment, I typed in a MyKad (NRIC) number plucked from the Ijok electoral roll: 990518-61-0029.
This is what the EC website returned for the search:
I wonder if this En ISPANI B MOHD REJO, male, from the locality of 096 / 11 / 04 / 001 - KG BKT BADUNG, was born in the year 1899 or 1999.
He could be 108 if born in 1899, or merely 8 years old if born in 1999.
The state code in his new IC is 61. Which state was he born in? Indonesia?
Will his vote count this April 28 to decide thenext elected representative of Ijok?

then agian i know someone who was born in Singapore but the number given was 71 not 39. I guess they give out numbers based on what they feel that day???

this is solid proof, something the opposite should use against BN in the buy-election. Now we know PAS and the opposite was right about Phantom Voters, shame on you BN and the SPR

Code# 60 to 93 except 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 80 and 81 are country codes.

Dear Jeff,
Can this guy vote? Is he a PR (Permanent Resident) or a PH (Pengundi Hantu)? If it's the latter then it proves how desperate BN wants to win this "Buy-Election"! I'm sure if you dig in deeper you'll find even more mysterious people with mysterious ICs who should not be there but eligible to vote. C'monlah EC! Evidence is there for all to see. Voting fraud will be rampant and TS Abdul Rashid will close one eye like he always does coz it involved the ruling party. SIGH...when will this ever end?

Could it be that this guy was granted citizenship in 2004?
How difficult it is to check the computerized database for registered voters. Just need few minutes to generate the suspicious list. It is either the EC doesn't bother or it's deliberate for obvious reasons.

Reading the news that is coming out from Ijok over the last few days have stricken me with great sadness. We do not have to look far for the riotious behaviour of people determined to hold on to power in banana republics. Malaysia, this is shameful and a dangerous precedent for the future.
