The stake: 9 ballot streams.

Satu lagi projek Barisan Nasional: RM36 million on last count.
One assurance on transparency: Ballot box will be of a see-through type.

I am more worried about the tallying of votes by the SPR ppl. WHo are monitoring them? Could it be 1 for you, 2 for me concept?

Seriously, what is it that the BN does for the rakyat that would merit such dramatic photo opportunities?
They should take out a calculator and start adding all those humongous losses, a hundred million here, a billion there - and then stand up to say what will be done.
Trying to look like a warrior must imply there's something worth fighting for - fighting to cheat, for instance?
When you have elections where the incumbent spend the rakyats' money to curry votes, and part of that money came from taxes collected from the rakyat as opposition, you wonder if the incumbent isn't cheating by stealing.
The continuation of that sort of thing will only worsen the situation further - the rakyat are being punished to wait for goodies only to come when they have to vote, mostly for people they don't know, who will end up doing nothing.
How can Malaysia progress if she continues to throw curry powder on her own face like this?
i am waning away.

Just wonder, who can someone throw in RM36 million as a carrot and it is not corruption. What is the Election Commission doing??? Is it independent?? Why no actions taken???? Is this more obvious that the Anwar case???? In Machap the same thing happen?? Will a police report trigger a ACA investigation? Fat hopes???

The BN viewed this seat as vulnerable considering the fact that Sivalingam’s majority was slashed from 4000 to 1649 in 2004 GE due to unsatisfactory service.
Two days after announcing his withdrawal from the MIC for not being selected to contest the Ijok state by-election, Kuala Selangor MIC Division chief S.P. Thirumoorthy, Wednesday openly expressed his support for the Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate. An earlier report of an independent candidate sponsored by him also did not materialized. If they can spent RM36 million, how much was expended for him to make this U-turn? Despite being labeled a traitor by his MIC Boss, he still wagged his tail and came running back with MB Mohd Toyo commenting “the matter has been resolved”. So how much was his windfall “buy-election” pension? More details at http://powerpresent.blogspot.com/2007/04/more-pics-supporters-thrrew-flying.html
and more pictures of the flying missiles thrown at each other during the nomination.

Transparency in elections = transparent ballot box? That's a good one! Too bad the joke's on us voters.

look at that picture, then recall the other picture we had of similar antics by this person. and then recall hismamuddin frothing at the mouth not too long ago holding a little weapon.
then fast forward back to today. Star Online's the place. something along the lines of "hisham says opposition likes to provoke." not bad, eh?
