Haha....what more can we expect when the head honcho sleeps most of the time...zzzzz...
Both are complex decisions which require really solid knowledge and number crunching to back up a logical decision.
I'm personally heavily involved in one area which has heavy FTA implications, and I'm well aware that weighing the risks vs. the benefits for the country is no easy task.
The government bureaucracy may not be up to the task of compiling the needed facts to support the decision. The Cabinet may lack the intellectual capacity to call the shots on this.
My take is that both of the above is true.
We may end up with a decision, in both these cases, which is mainly politically driven and not what is ultimately good for the country, based on facts and logic.

It is only a matter of sensibility and common sense verses Pride of which the real important factor is survival for the people of Malaysia.
At what price would you pay for Pride?
When Pride wins, would it ensure Malaysia survival in the global market?
Implement policies which make us competitive base on current realistic living environment and may common sense prevail.
