as a blogger i am needless to say, personally insulted by his comments. as inappropriate as his blogger-bashing was, i think it was his patriarchal-chauvanism that appeared most 'dangerous' to me.

to state that the 'lying bloggers' are mostly women speaks volumes. the implicit logic that pervades his thinking is clear: women lie, spread gossip, unemployed.

the social persecution of women in Malaysia is a much bigger problem than that of demonising bloggers. We (bloggers) do what we do because we are passionate about our country and we have principles. If a minister hits out at us, we take the hit with pride and steel.

But unlike 'bloggers' many ordinary women are suffering because of such patriarchal ideas the Minister bared. This should be of more concern to us. Let them call us liars if they want to, we'll just keep going anyways.

But life should be about giving voice to the voiceless, and God knows there are plenty of voiceless women out there suffocating underneath the weight of social norms.

I recommend some Poh Chai Pills or Pil Chi Kit Teck Aun for his verbal diarrhoea... or otherwise a can of coke...

As what happened for so many times, if this is pushed further, I think one of the three proven and guaranteed way for politician to escape will be resorted to:
(1) The reporters interpreted me wrongly;
(2) If there is any one hurt by my comment, I apologise; or (the best one)
(3) I remain elegantly silent.

I read blogs. Therefore I read lies and that makes me stupid? If I believe a moron, that makes me stupider still.

At the risk of being accused of lying, a friend , who was a classmate of the honourable minister says that in school, he was NOT a tengku. Suddenly he is now one. I did not know that such titles can be aquired.

What twisted logic! Lemme see if I can make some (non)sense out of it!

Let's say I am actually a blogger. According to this fella then, I am a liar. Ok... fine. So if I am a liar and I say I am a blogger, then what I say is not true coz I am lying. Then it proves I am not a blogger (but I did say I was a blogger in the beginning). In a nutshell, if I am a blogger and say I am a blogger then I am NOT a blogger since I am a liar.

Darn it...I knew logic wasn't my strong point...but damn, this fella takes it to a whole new low standard!
