Born-again writers
There are, apparently, two types of born-again writers.
One is of Zorro-Unmasked lineage, who used to teach English in school and tell his kids: Write to express and not to impress.
Zorro sprang back into writing when he should be cruising in the Bahamas, enjoying his retirement. But he said, this time, he's into "revealing anything swept under the carpet and unmasking the sweepers".
I told him why I like Ernest Hemingway who, if he lives again, will not Malaprop a "monomaniacal nimrod with piscatorial propensities" for a fisherman, or a "tonsorial artist" for a barber.
The other (born-again writer) is from the other realm.
