Blogger-liars: Ku Nan tries to clarify...

Blame that woman blogger from Indonesia!

Watch the video-clip on Malaysiakini.tv

Apparently Rocky, whom Ku Nan described as his close friend, also tries to clarify. So did Rehman Rashid a day before that.

By the way, Rehman who left The NST last year around the time when Al-jazeera first started its operations in Kuala Lumpur, is returning to his former employer -- if what Rocky said of (NST Group Editor) Syed Nadzri Harun's attempt came true.

In his article and in portions given a specific context on blogosphere, Rehman claimed that not everyone who has an opinion and a rectum can differentiate one from the other.

I believe the opinion-rectum equation was not specifically proffered unto Ku Nan, or anyone career-challenged as a writer, verbosity and Malapropism aside.

..."everyone has an opinion and a rectum, and not that many seem capable of telling one from the other."

Folks

The lesson for Tengku Adnan, and in fact he should know as a seasoned politician:

ALWAYS, AND ALWAYS, ENGAGE BRAIN BEFORE PUTTING MOUTH INTO GEAR.

Then Semuak will be OK !

F&H,
If got brain sure can engage brain...but does this rectum has a brain?

I think it's becos of no brains that caused the boo-boo

Oh misquoted again?

This is the typical syndrome among Malaysia's ministers and deputy ministers that whenever they went overboard saying something without exercising the right of using their brains properly and when things went wrong, they'll deny by saying that: Oh, I was misquoted by this and that press lar, what I mean is this and that bla bla bla bla"

The last thing that I'd like to know or to hear from any minister is: "You journalists having hearing problems is it?"

While I'm here offering my sympathy to all journalists who are being deemed to be quoting the wrong thing, next time, publish the conversation, prove to the world that you're innocent.

The bottom line? It's ok to make mistakes, humans do make mistakes. But hey, admit and rectify the problem and move on lah.

Or is it because you're a minister and you can make unfair judgements, saying that bloggers are liars?

Here's my middle finger.

Reading that article in the Star paper, it doesn't suprise me that -'the next day, we will come up with a cover line for the boo boo made yesterday'- such an excuse is weak as it meant that one is 'retracting their statement' albeit very sneakily and designing a very good lie.

Nila Tanzil had expressed her gratitude to all bloggers. However, she was suspended by SCTV after that post in her blog.

Rectum thing is just a rehash. First time I saw it was in a Marcinko novel (Can't remember which one and don't have time to check)). I think the exact sentence was something like this.

Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one.

Not even an original idea.

BTW Ku Nan

It was the bloggers that spotted the massage parlour ad in tourism brochure.

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
