'Market intelligence'

Screenshots was told that a think-tank managed by academics at a local university was commissioned by the PM's Office to collect feedback on the public's perception about corruption.

That's three solid years after the pledge to catch the Big Fish was eternalised in the BN General Election Manifesto, and people are getting restless with the report card.

The closed-door Monday meeting was said to have included leaders from the various chambers of commerce, selected NGOs and members of Pemudah.

While the country is actively talking about Ali Baba (minus the 40 thieves), straight-talkers like Megat Najmuddin Khas of Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance, and the likes of Zaid Ibrahim in other forums, were said to have pulled no punches whenever they took on the microphone.

A quotable quote from the floor was :"It may require a revolution to make things change."

Two fortnights ago, the EU ambassador to Malaysia, Thierry Rommel, had a very frank and bold presentation at Parti Gerakan's White Coffee Talk series. He had several members of the government among his live audience.

Intelligence officers should feedback to their bosses how a certain political party has been seen as being racist from the global perspective.

OK, Dr Goh Cheng Teik, who once famously said a generation of non-Bumiputras must be sacrificed for the sake of NEP, may still beg to differ.

It is a most apt and appropriate phrase to use to reform " it will take a revolution". Even a better solution will be "LET US CHANGE THE PRESENT GOVERNMENT" in the next General Elections.
MEANWHILE LET ME WISH JEFF AND ALL CHINESE bloggers a prosperous and happy Chinese New Year. Enjoy folks.

(seriously good stuff)

Is this think-tank rumor or fact? If it's true, what people is in there?

Common sense says any corruption study/investigation body should be free of government affiliation.

This one sounds like a "study how to corrupt without being known" body.

It may require a revolution to make things change.

Malaysia should not take it lightly and think this will not happens.

Revolution is inevitable when the country is flood by overwhelming political ignorant, ill-literature rural people and "controlled voters". IMHO, At the moment , 60% of the voters are fall under this category.

At this moment, this group of people fail to feel the pinch of urban middle class. When super-inflation hit this people, prepare for the worst.

There is no way we can prevent Ali Baba business practice in Malaysia if the law still requiring and "mandating" 100% bumi company to do government job.
When a work that worth more than RM10K, it is usually a professinal job that is difficult to handle and thus requiring experts involvment. For example, if IBM professional job to do rack mount server installation, storage device setup and so on, these kind of job is not cheaper than RM10K, even for just one server (including hardware). I don't think IBM is 100% bumi company. How can they then do government job? The answer is [ DELETED ]!
This had been the practice for years and it is approved by government anyway. So what is the fuss about Ali Baba causing problem?

Quote: Intelligence officers should feedback to their bosses how a certain political party has been seen as being racist from the global perspective.

They should also feedback to their bosses how a certain leader has been seen as an idliot for allowing/lack of control its subordinates for making so many jokes around the world. Eg. The quick turnaround answer for Pantai, the quick turnaround answer for the "crooked" bridge, the un-answered answer for the official way of computing the bumiputera share of national economy wealth, the yatch, the purchase of a jumbo jet for "government servant", and the most recent one, the scrapping of the Mykad lottery. I'm sure I have missed out some.

These are BIG JOKES which show how irresponsible, how lack of governance, how unsystematic, and how inefficient and INEFFECTIVE, government may be percepted by the rakyat.

Shame.

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
