New Jet: The Scribe has a caveat
Journo-blogger A Kadir Jasin also blogged about the Pembesar's new luxury jet. But was he cheeky enough to provide a caveat:
Footnote: If this entry is inaccurate in any way, our democratically elected government or its agents are welcomed to respond. I undertake to publish their response in full.
It's a big issue because of the cost. The Scribe says:
Taking the lower figure, the corporate jet will punch a US$50-million hole in our pocket. That’s a big hole. It’s equivalent to about RM175 million, which can build a lot of classrooms, hospital wards and not to mention mosques and rural roads for the rakyat. Or help rehabilitate Johor flood victims.
What pace are we at? From Turkish yacht, to Nasi Kandar Perth and then this one. One controversy after another every fortnight?
BTW, can I talk with someone to help me secure a Fomema-like license over... nasi kandar?
Comments
But was not the scribe once the master of spin as well? Like, was he not the one who by sheer ommission failed to let the people know about Eusoff Chin's New Zealand Holiday? He set thetemplate and others just follow la. So therefore having been indoctrinated the [ DELETED ] way of years past, I guess until all this is reported in the [ DELETED ] , as a faithful citizen as these papers would have me believe, I should only believe what is written in the [ DELETED ] . right?

Tony Blair lives in a linked house, number 10 that is. He flies BA.
Compare that with the 3rd world luxuries AAB and gang get.
Some people are more equal than others.

Hi Jeff,
For the benefit of those concerned that AAB luxury jet is a piece of misiniformation or potentially defamatory.
D-AIDR, the airframe registration shown in the photographs belongs to a real aircraft - A-319-115CJ model build by Airbus, delivered December 2006. Registered to the MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT.
This cannot be covered up by OSA or any other Malaysian law. Every legitimately registered aircraft in the world can be traced through its airframe registration..

Does the Malaysian govt need a new plane to fly our PM etc when we currently have so many in our fleet? No!!
This PM talks aboutbeing prudent, change lifestyle etc but has no problems on his won spending. Renovate Sri Perdana, go to perth for holidays on govt planes and now buying a plane when we are suffering.
memang Cemerlang Pak Lah

I don't know about the Jet.
But as mentioned by someone, go google on the Aircraft registration and you will get the facts. I can't imagine RMAF buying a Jet for their...Generals? I don't think so.
BUt I can tell you this. This morning the Batu Talam by election was swept up by BN. Yup, by some 5000+ majority. Previous was around 2700+. So judging by this figures, it is not surprising that 'PM AAB has got the support with confidence..) so read the presenter.
I can also tell you this, our Government, though a signatory to the UN Charter, CEDAW, Convention of Elimination against all form of Discrimination against WOmen, which commits it to this move, has backed away from it by not making a stand in our country's landmark discrimination case.
Just as they did, when using [ DELETED ] to sue Rocky and Jeff.
Is this who we want to lead our country? Is this the line we are going to take?
Do you want to tell the world now that you are Malaysian? I for one, am thinking twice!
