I enjoyed the article.
But I feel there is no need for the writer to indicate "The murderous drama involves a beautiful Mongolian model, a Muslim political analyst with friends in the highest places..."
Certainly, any crime commited by anyone is despicable...Muslim or Non-Muslim, it doesn't matter.
It only makes me feel the writer is rather bias with agenda to mention that.

This Age report and its insinuation of a link to the Defence Minstry is mischievous.
The quote “the C4 explosives could only have been found in the Defence Ministry” is out of context as it did NOT report what Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Mohd Johari Baharum’s reply: “ C4 explosives were not only used by the army but also the police Special Action Unit (Unit Tindakan Khas)” as reported only in the Sun Dec 7 06). And the two police personnel charged are from this unit. So where is the link? Perhaps Karpal Singh was only “fishing” in troubled waters and he was replaced by counsel Bayar Budrajehaa, holding a watching brief for the family, yet he was seen in court.
At yesterdays’ mention, the Judicial Commissioner ordered bail to be post – cash or securities by 5 pm and he mentioned the trial judge is Datuk K.N Segara, who was on leave. DPP also opposed bail.
Counsel Wong Kian Kheong also took over from Datuk Muhammad Shafee Abdullah in representing Abdul Razak. The above details, the Mongolian protest (on Dec 6) and more pics can be seen at:

I saw the article earlier. Yes it is sad and tragic, and demands justice, to clear Malaysia’s name. And Malaysia has got a name worth saving.
To invoke the alleged analyst’s religion is totally uncalled for. Its a cheap shot. Nearly every country has had its share of murderous scandals, including the US, India, China, the in the Middle East, and Latin America. No need to make things worse by rubbing salt into the wounds.
It tarnishes the Age’s otherwise balanced journalism.

The very fact that law enforcement officers where allegedly involved in the murder only further proves that Abdul Razak, who has been portrayed as an intellect & academic, could not have ordered the killing. There must be other greater powerful forces at play since the girl was alleged to have been blown up with C4 explosives. That means the alleged murderers did not bother to cover up the evidence since they must be very confident of getting away with the crime. Hence the speculation at home & abroad - did any powerful Malaysian minister/s have a hand in the crime? Does the Crown sit easy when a few of our Ministers are unabashedly reputed womanisers?
