What blogs can do now that the world is flatter
The Star's New York staffer Foo Yee Ping has this dispatch on US midterm election in Sunday Star today:
Bloggers had their night out when CNN hosted 25 of them for an “E-lection Nite Blog Party”. This was something new, according to Andrew Tyndall who issues an online weekly report that tracks night-time news coverage on ABC, NBC and CBS.
“In five years, the news will be presented online,” he predicted.
Pretty much on my radar-screen.
Next Tuesday, I will speak to a select group in Regent Hotel KL about Thomas Friedman's 'The World Is Flat' and Clay Shirky/Chris Anderson's Long Tail -- when the two trends cross paths. The topic is related to Power Laws, Weblogs and Inequality and what they mirror in Malaysia.
Call Rosemarie of PR Concept (Tel: 03-6272-0939) if you want to find out more about it.

See, we're no longer on it - so MB Johor's Ghani's supposition that bangsa malaysia is anathema to malay rights seems of microscopic importance in this new flat world.

Hi,
AB's administration has been credited with freeing the internet!
IMHO AB's gangsters just still don't get it.
Kali's incredible arrogance resulted in sloppy cut 'n' paste juvenile journalism.
Rakyat looks for other sources of information.
Long tail kicks in.
Result...
Malaysian blogs experience rapid growth...
Followed by unprecedented influence.
Without AB's gangster incompetence, Malaysian internet progress wouldn't have been this rapid.
For that we can be grateful...
Maybe Malaysia can after all participate in the Net's economy.
We live in interesting times.
