Tending to 'vices in life'

Life must be lived to the fullest. I just want to maximise my leisure time to tend to my vices in life.

This Saturday, I will join my LensaMalaysia co-founders to host a Studio Lighting Induction Workshop for photo enthusiasts. Sunday, I will be playing facilitator in a blog workshop, collaborating with the Friedrich Naumann Foundation.

Today, Intel will officially unveil its Quad Core series, and I should be thinking of 101 ways to get rid of my old PC, a P4 2.8Ghz without Hyper Threading. The preview kit that I have been having in the last two weeks has been so enticing!

Next Wednesday, I will meet up with a group of young professionals to speak on blogging as achange agent at the White Coffee Talk series that a Minister has initiated.

Come December, I hope to join fellow bloggers -- who blog courageously without anonymity -- to host a 2-day conference to intersect traditional and online media.

I'm also praying hard that Dr Mahathir recovers fully soon so that we can speak on the same platform December 11 on the topic of intersecting traditional and online media in Malaysia.

After that, I really look forward to a March 2007 speaking engagement on New Media for which I have been booked.

With enhanced computing power, pervasive broadband and higher bandwidth, we can change the world and the old power paradigm!

That has been, naivete or not, my 1999 theory to harness the power of the Long Tail to make the world flatter.

It's happening. (Resistance is futile. You shall be assimilated.) We just need to give it a gentle push, treating it as if you are tending to your vices in life.
