Khalwat videos & pix... Mujhey nahi maloom
Blame the Internet? Mujhey nahi maloom!
The Star's Malay-language portal, mStar.com.my, and Malaysiakini Malay Edition, have followed up on the khalwat-nabbing videos posted on the Internet.
JAIS director Mohammed Khusrin Munawi was quoted by mStar as saying that JAIS was not the maker of the videos and blamed it on an individual working for a welfare organisation. JAIS says it has no link to the person who has been identified. A police report will be made soon.
However, according to Malaysiakini, JAIS PR officer Fakhrul AzamYahya suspected that the leaked videos were made by an Islamic NGO operating in Bangi. He was quoted as saying that the NGO had no authority in retaining and nabbing Muslims caught in khalwat situations.
Meanwhile, mStar picked up a Bernama story in which Minister of Higher Learning Mustapa Mohamed was quoted as saying khalwat cases were rampant in the campuses.

Lawyer/State Assemblyman Teng Chang Khim posted on his blog November 27 a photo negative of a man, "apparently wearing a bathrobe", and woman in his chest. The YB said the man is a Member of Parliament while the woman is a Senator. The problem is "both are married but not to each other", Teng said.
The same day, Gombak MP Dr Rahman Ismail and Senator Norhayati Onn Ismail, told The Star in separate interviews that they had never taken any pictures together, and that it was a malicious attempt to discredit them. .
Use Adobe Photoshop, or any other image management applications, and the negative can be turned into positive to show the subjects in the picture. For example, in Adobe Photoshop, copy the negative image, click "File" --> "New", then hit Ctrl V and Ctrl I, viola! No-brainer.
But blame it all on Internet? Mujhey nahi maloom!

campus=teenagers/young adults with raging hormones=social intergration=perfectly acceptable human behaviour=however construed by some as 'close proximity cases!
When will 'they' ever learn that by curbing these 'unacceptable behaviour', it will only cause more of it??
Yes, having private intimate moments for all to see is unacceptable! But having private moments between two people, and being filmed?? Or worse still having groups of people who are just waiting to pounce on you????
Surely thats a form of privacy invasion!
How about discrimination?

Shaming people with footages for all the world to see is a far worse crime than canoodling with a loved one. But because there's nothing said about videocameras and youtube in the Quran, official voyeurs notch up divine good deeds at each bust-up.

JAIS going around being foolish doesn't come as a surpise anymore to me. What I don't get is, why would Mr Teng dabble in the same uncouth culture, exposing something that he himself cannot vouch for its correctness and most importantly, something petty!
As I have written in his blog, me - certified as a Malay - thinks JAIS' moral policing is loathsome.
Mr Teng now playing JAIS is not helping one bit.
