Kalimullah, NSTP Editorial Advisor?
Deputy Internal Security Minister Fu Ah Kiow said the Weekend Mail had received six warning letters from the government this year prior to its suspension for its Nov 4-5 issue which focused on sex and sexual issues.
Six warning letters? That's an average of ONE WARNING LETTER PER MONTH since it's launch on May 20!
Deputy Minister Fu said the newspaper was suspended indefinitely as it had breached guidelines and conditions set out under the Printing and Printing Presses Act 1984.
How amazing that The NSTP Editorial Advisor, Kalimullah Masheerul Hassan who repeatedly insisted on 'doing the right thing', could allow this to happen under his nose!
Comments
There are so many printing products within NSTP. Yet the only small little Weekend Mail is _Not_So_Top_Priority lah.
I think as a _N_S_T_P Editorial Advisor, Kalimullah Masheerul Hassan who is advising but while he is temperary away and not being able to advise his small little only Weekend Mail timely. So he should not be charged.
But how could he ask Deputy Minister Nor to use ISA on the blogger where is the commenter who put up a bad comments on Sep~Oct 2004 ?
I think is good to apply his own rule onto him... Rasa tak ?

In thy haste, Jeff, you left out "permonth" somewhere, Yes?
In the Internal Affairs Ministry's Double Standards model, it acted like the tortoise in Malay Mail case versus The Hare in the Sarawak Tribune's indefinite suspension, No?
