A key component of IPTV software beside bandwidth and content is the IPTV software. Do we know which vendor TM Net is using? Is it Microsoft's?

I wasn't around when the tech guy installed the IPTV package @ my place. But now that i'm back, the first thing I notice is a new BNS box, and my normal broadband router plugged out replaced by an ADSL 2 router.
No idea how any of this works yet, but my mother, who was around when the installation occured, informed me that the techguy showed her the IPTV channels - TV1, 2 and 3. There was visual but no audio :P
But I am more curious about this ADSL 2 router device and what it implies!

IPTV in a local TMNet network? hehehe...good loh. But i concern this 8Mbps is dedicated to one house or sharing among the whole apartment?
IPTV or Internet Protocol TV means we can watch TV from PC as what I'm setup for my website www.syoktv.net .If TMNet really setup 8Mbps the line connection, IPTV with digital image quality can be broadcast to our PC more higher than TV resolution 720x576.
But what I know, this 8Mbps is just for local TMNet network. How about when we surf the internet? Still got 8Mbps or this is a bandwidth sharing? If this is not a bandwidth sharing, good loh. Next p2p technology coming for SyokTV, I also can broadcast the channel with digital image quality for TMNet user :)
