Hai Peng coffee
The little girl in the old poster, top left-hand corner, has grown. So has the fan-club of the kopitiam.

We have two Malaysian home-bred brands, Kluang Railway and this one in Kemaman. Get to know them well.

Based on your last post on Kluang Station's coffee some months ago I bought a cup of their ground coffee from their outlet in Ikano. Maybe my brewing technique is all wrong....but it was a disappointment!

If one goes to Kemaman to have coffee at Hai Peng, we should not miss the baked crabs at Thong Juan. The best!

90% of the kopitiams in Kelantan and Terengganu are patronised by Malays. The kopitiams are runned by Hainanese.
The White House kopitiam in Kota Bahru is legendary, equals to Hai Peng & Kluang Station, if not better. It only opens late at night serving kopi O kau, roti khawin (kaya & margerin), soft boiled egg and nasi dagang. It does not have a name actually. As it is painted white, the patrons decided to name the White House.
