Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu

Politics aside, I am glad that PAS Vice President Husam Musa, and Treasurer Dr Hatta Ramli, had made it in time for The Eulogy in memory of Venerable Dr K. Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Maha Thera yesterday.

I understand Sunday is a working day in Kelantan, but Husam had managed to make time and fly in from Kota Baru for the Chief's funeral ceremony, and have a few words with the deputy chief of the Buddhist Maha Vihara.

It's a good gesture from our Muslim friends that many would appreciate at heart.

Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu.

yeah..was good to see Husam there.

Sadhu Sadhu Sadhu

Just out of curiousity, were any UMNO representatives there at the funeral?

Sadhu, Sadhu, Sadhu.

It is good to see Husam and Hatta at the funeral. I know Husam is among the few in PAS who can talk substance when articulating issues. Hope these young turks will succeed in changing the extreme Islamic image of PAS. Main stream medias dare not report this? How come? Does it tell anything? If reported, more non Muslim votes will swing to PAS in the next general election? But more Malay votes will swing to BN what. Or they are in Catch 22 situation. Like ditelan mati ayah, diluah mati ibu. Correct me if my peribahasa is wrong. Long time never use already.

PAS came. UMNO missing. MCA present ... so what? it's not about politics is it? Since some are asking ...what about DAP, keadilan, Gerakan, PPP, SNAP, .....on and on and on ....and see how stupid it would be!

The presence of political entities representing various factions of our society at this sombre occasion should clear the notion that a pluralistic Malaysian society is not a dream but a reality. But again, our evergreen young democratic Nation has a long way to go before multiculturalism is accepted as part of a pluralistic Malaysian society and not just a political ruse to nurture individualistic political ambitions.

I am not sure why I don't see more leaders attending the Reverend's funeral. Maybe, it's really not easy to attend the Reverend's funeral. You have to have good past affinity with the Reverend be it past life or this life. From what I can see is, Dr. Ong Ka Ting represents MCA which in turn represents BN? However, attending or not attending the funeral won't make me swing my votes to anyone. Maybe a little thank you to our leaders for not making this a political agenda?

Ahh....

PAS finally has learned the value of PR.

Cavet emptor my friends....

[ DELETED -- Don't abuse my blog to breed your judgmental call on others. ]

whatever the case, i would want to be naive enough to put aside whatever intention but to pay respect to the Chief High Priest. muhibbah as i would want to see it...

It is nice to see various political figure attendance but as long as religion stay as religion and politic stay as politic, PEACE would prevail.....

May the masses, especially the politician, gained wisdom and insights from this blogs...
Religion is personal and not a tool to gain popularity

Coming from Jeff "I censor myself but I believe in freedom" Ooi.... I'll take that as a compliment.

You have some piss poor command of the english language dude... for a so called writer. Here's a tip; don't use big words that you don't really understand. Go take a class.

I ban myself!

Good night and good luck.

JEFF OOI says: I have crossed swords with PAS leaders and supporters -- upclose and four eyes -- on political issues intellectually based on rationale and reasoning -- not pre-judgment -- and we won respect for each other. We can still eat on the same table. In this case, our Muslim friends came to pay their last respects to a Buddhist monk and listened to the Eulogies, I thought it was a sincere gesture among human beings who value values. So, I would still respect your self-esteem though you have chosen not to respect mine.
