Sorry couldn't get the podcast on my pentium 166. Price cuts are a short term solution to increase the cash flow of a company until such a time when sales improve.
On the longer term, they should have introduced models such as the Honda FRV (six seater in 3 + 3 configuration) using platforms of Gen-2 for those family buyers who have abandoned proton for Avanza and Naza.
When the opportunity arised, Proton should have made a bid for Ssangyong of Korea instead of dumping money on Agusta.
ssangyong could have manufactured left hand drive models of proton for korean markets and abroad whilst proton could have manufactured Ssangyong MPV's and 4wd's for the right hand drive market. Such a nice synergy don't you think?

Sigh, I couldn't get to the podcast. I could only listen to the nice music introduction and that's all.

Will Proton cut price???
That is the Question.
Whether it brings in sales is secondary.
