The Eulogy started on time at 1pm.

YB DATO' SERI ONG KA TING, Minister of Local Government and Housing Malaysia, representing the Government of Malaysia.
Due to space constraints, Dewan Asoka was reserved for the dignitaries and the maha sangha, while devotees and laypeople followed the eulogy, in the name of the Chief, from closed circuit TVs outside.

After the Eulogy, the congregation moved on to attend the funeral.

As the hall was being emptied for a private moment among the sanghas, not many noticed the presence of the Chief's family members who had flown in from Sri Lanka to attend the ceremony.
Final Journey
About 90 buses were on stand-by to ferry the devotees to the crematorium in the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur.
