Offshoots about 'shooting'

When I was 'gunned down' by sniper shot today, one of the first to lend me a voice has been Malaysia's online media:

I must say I am also most grateful to Screenshots readers who have largely decided to spare reader IImran further agony. You guys are doing an important job nurturing a fledgling opinion space.

I really hope this Guna prepares some question for MIC president...

When he published his first article, I took it with a cheeky smile because the questions were poorly constructed and about half of them can be easily rephrased and redirected back to Abdullah, or as a matter of fact, any other leaders in the world. But I thought to myself, maybe i was reading too much into it. As Jeff said, benefit of doubts can't hurt, so I gave him that.

Now when he published this most recent article, you have got to admit it's not about exercising the right of free speech or letting people know the other side of the story anymore. It's getting (or has always been) personal and he, you and I know it. Using his position and exposure in the media medium for such personal vendetta is digusting, for the lack of better terms.

I am all for putting everything on the table and let the readers digest the content themselves. But while doing that, i am getting a strong sense that he is trying way too hard to convince his readers. It's like he's trying to do a cock push-up.

So in the wake of the 'sniper shot' fiasco, and please dont take this literally Mr G, I think you should be [ deleted ] down, and again and again. I can repeat it all day long if you want me to.

I hope all the gentlemen especially those who had eaten more salt in the media industry to refrain from using too much sleigh of words to create agenda.

To be fair, Mr. Guna as well as all of us has the rights to be concerned on any threatening words on oneself.

And to be fair, Mr. Ooi had clearly stated "I have blogged incessantly on Peace, and participated actively in Perdana Global Peace Forum activities. So, I don't have to repeat that violence has no place in this blog", which is rightly so.

However, this blog seems like lacking some efforts in advocating any peaceful opinion on the Israel - Lebanon as a main topic.

Unless this war failed to create some impression that warrant Mr. Ooi's peaceful concern.

Jeff,

Looks like all bloggers should start putting a "disclaimer clause" in their website...hahahahaha

Hi Jeff, everything happens for a good reason.

Guna, as drama director, has put you in the lead role. Thanks to his foresight, you are walking away with another coveted award.

Nevertheless, I suggest that Guna modifies the storyline. He should tell the drama producer that the plot is unconvincing, overdramatic and even ridiculous.

Perhaps, Guna should do a thriller on "Bowman's Papers". It would be a box office hit.

Hi Jeff
New to your site..thought you and others might like to know that I was sued by my senior assistant for calling him a cowboy eveready to shoot. (i was HM). He was very persistent and lost the case at the Sessions, High and the Federal Court, after 11 years..he was fighting for justice! Interestingly this man has still to pay for the court costs..

Hopefully Mr. Guna will tolerate on this issue. Perhaps let bygone-be-bygone. Mr. Guna had now reminded bloggers of a long ignored horizon of responsibled free speech.

You know what you wanted to achieve and you had conveyed your message, duly noted nationwide, or perhaps worldwide.

And we understand the message you wanted to deliver especially to the online community.

Mr. Ooi can't possibly glue himself to the monitor 24/7 and had responsibly removed the offended post immediately.

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
