Subjudice; MAS won't comment on Kiwi claims
According to stuff.co.nz, Malaysia Airlines is the carrier facing prosecution by the Labour Department for allegedly systematically allowing illegal passengers into New Zealand. Quote:
The airline was identified a day after the department's border security chief, Api Fiso, refused to name it.A source said Malaysian Airlines "had a massive history" of flying asylum seekers to New Zealand over an eight-year period. They included Algerian refugee Ahmed Zaoui in 2002.
It is understood more than half of those reaching New Zealand to claim asylum fly on Malaysian.
Malaysian Airlines spokesman Anbarasu Sundram in Kuala Lumpur said the airline knew of the department's announcement. "We will then see if it is sub judice and whether we can make comment. It's a legal matter, we will have to see what it is all about."

I would suppose MAS must have been targeted and identified as a rogue airline in this context particularly after the Ahmed Zaoui incident. Ahmed Zaoui was an Algerian who does not necessarily have a record that is Kosher around the world. No doubt he was an Algerian politician who got ousted and apparently now wanted and possibly also evicted out of Europe. He was in Malaysia working in a Malaysian educational institution with his wife and children. Then shortly after the Bali bombing, when Malaysia was picking up these KMM and JI supporters and so on, after having had a relatively peaceful welcome stay in Malaysia, this guy decides to fly off in a MAS flight to Auckland, NZ. Upon arrival he claimed to have destroyed/lost his passport and sought assylum. Their internal security did not give him a favourable report. But being the silly mat salleh's they are and having all these Human Rights laws and so on, he had one of the tree hugging lawyer represent him and after over 2 years in some refugee or detention camp or other he is has been given a limited release where he is being housed by some Jesuit or some other Christian groups I think. Anyway, most Kiwis don't want him there anyway.
What is strange though is when you fly to NZ there is always the immigration authority at the boarding area where after you have handed your boarding pass to the airline staff and they give you the tear away, two immigration staff ask to see your passport. Assuming that to have been the case, there would have been limited opportunities for Ahmed Zaoui to have destroyed or thrown his passport before that. And there to the plane is just a short walk away. I have always wondered if maybe Ahmad would have been advised to leave the country and he was escorted to the plane maybe???? I really wonder.
On top of that ofcourse there are also many Malaysians who go there on the pretext of travelling, but end up working in the vineyards.

i think that statement is a little pre-mature and immature to make without understand the situation!
Kiwi's can make all allegations ..... hwo can you blame an airline for flyinf rague passengers? So ..can we say american arilnes are shitty coz they fly terrosist around?
this is a stupid report! Why would MAS wanna fly known trouble makers who can risk the security of their own oeprations?
easy to point fingers when one doent take the effort to use common sense!
