Seized luxury cars: 159 buyers, one female deputy minister?
Yesterday, Member of Parliament Mohd Said Yusof (BN – Jasin) pumped up adrenalin and called on the Government to release the list of the 159 people who bought the luxury cars seized by the Royal Customs department.
Grapevines had it that among the 159 people on the list, seven were Members of Parliament, and one female deputy minister -- still serving in the present administration -- had bought two for herself.
Yes, it will be good to name them, for transparency's sake. Already, the 'tutup sebelah mata' MP has refused to close an eye any more.
Comments
these ministers shld support the customs dept more and get them to seize more cars.
so what if the list is made public? u expect anything else will happen after that? Jasin MP still roaming free and probably by making his moves now he might draw the attention away from his close one eye issue. The other eye closed got speck in it. If opened surely he can see it for himself.

Will somebody give this Jasin MP his Mercedes Benz. Getting tired of his close one eye tantrum. I also wonder how he is going to pay for it. I remember him saying he is only a small businessman doing freight forwarding.

Jeff. I'm involve with freight forwarding also. They way I look at it! yes... there is bad and good boys over at custom department... Which now they are improving thier services.
But for the MP's who are keep complaining I think he have something against the custom director! close one eye case etc.... He is using parliment to speak and speak. But for the Custom director if he strats korek here and there I think he will kena demoted or transfer!
What a pitty of Malasian politic!

Sad!
With 'marhain' languishing at the bottom of the life-ladder, trying to lead life the best way possible, eeking meagre salary, and feeding their children the best while 'ikating' their stomach in suffering, the people in power are busy talking about who gets the better cars with the cheapest price.
'Rakyat nak makan pun susah, naik kereta kancil pun bayar interest sampai 2, 3 kali harga asal kereta!' Kasihan 'rakyat marhain' Malaysia.

If names are given, what will happen? Will the current government do anything?
There are names published all over the newspaper on those who get thousands of APs just like that, but what happen then? Nothing right?
So are we want "names" just for the sake of mere fantasy?
Maybe should also ask them to declare those names on the waiting list. I bet that close-one-eye fella is on the list... :)

And while all this is going on...AAB acts as if nothing is happening..and blur blur.
For what it is worth, I hope he knows he is PM and the Jasin joker and Customs are all under his care

The problem is that one-eye-Jack didn't get the model he wanted that's why he made so much noise.
Absolutely incredible the way our politicians behave. In Australia or Britain such people would have been sacked on the spot.
