I actually don't think HL Less is worried about ASEAN cooperation, but more worried about SG-MY relations being hurt if Pak Lah falls or even turn against SG in order to appease or defeat Dr M.
Suspect his wife, Temasek chief Ho-Ching, and his dad LKY, GSIC chief, has advised him of the risk to SG if Malaysia suddenly chooses to turn back the clock to the Dr M era when SG was seen more as a competitor than a potential partner.
Risk is not just future efforts of Temasek, GSIC and its companies raping Malaysia of its prime assest, but worse, the possibility that current Temasek involvement in Malaysian businesses and GLCs being squeezed.
E.g. Bank Negara could choose to again oppose the Temasek control of Alliance bank which Pak Lah's Finance Ministry allowed despite Temasek not having a majority share to exercise control.
Btw, notice how all the levers of power in SG is controlled by one family? Is this model scary or what...

Pak Lah, even the neighbour can't just stand enjoying your family (country or your home) affairs by just watching and now had to say something.
As a Malaysian, I feel ashamed by this and its all because of your mulut celupar son-in-law.
Not being his biological father, it is not fair for all your efforts and the rakyat being bogged down by this person.
As the president of UMNO, Pak Lah certainly have the discretion to sack any non-elected UNMO deputy chief who have the potential in bringing down the party and country's unity.

Nepotism may not be that bad after all if it benefits the country and the ppl. Besides one must realize that most of the chaps in any govt post in spore are highly intellectual and capable ppl. University deans and leaders are ppl with actual doctorates and are highly-respected individuals in their respective fields. Is it the same case over here?
Anyway I think Pak Lah will be sick of his son-in-law sooner or later with his antics and clowning. Nepotism in his case is not such a good idea after all. :P
Juz my 2 kacangz worth....
