Hidup Malaysiaku!

Merdeka_Perodua1_web.jpg

Graphics re-constructed based on a print advertisement by Perodua. Probably the best MERDEKA message I've come across this year.

Not too late to put down your Merdeka wishes here.

My wish for our 49th Merdeka Day which I always knew it as Hari Kebangsaan during my schooling day.... is it will not take another 49 years before we can achieve a true Malaysian in every Malaysia citizens. I proud to be a Malaysian Chinese but hopefully my daugther would be proud to be a MALAYSIAN....

People and principles??? I am beginning to loose faith in both the people in power, and their principles.

If you are watching the celebration ongoing in Kuching now, let me point out something to all.

Facing the Padang, to the left of the big building shown, and behind the
stage where the ministers are, is the Anglican St. Thomas cathedral, a site
of some 140+ years history.

It is not shown at all on TV. The positions of the different TV cameras are
such that the cathedral will not be shown at all.

That is how far Christianophobia has gone in bodohland. As if hordes of
Malays will renounce Islam by the meer sight of a church building.

Talk about denying history. Let alone principles.

that book reminds me of my school days. In chinese, we have this phrase..it doesn't matter who is the king, as long as the king do good to the people and country, he is a good king. So my wish for this 49th Merdeka is to have a good leader for Malaysia.

"Kesetiaan kepada Raja dan Negara"

Honestly, I'm not loyal to the King and our country. I'm a Muslim, and I'm only loyal to God and the universal values of humanity.

Also, I think the monarchy is a waste of money.

As far as head of religion is concerned, Islam needs no tax-funded Sultans as the head of religion and definitely not the monarchy.

If wishing can do any good,..... I just wish ALL those who preach these FIVE PRINCIPLES (only five maah!!!) to school children care to uphold these principles themselves.

if wishes are fishes then we would be wet by now...

still I wish the government would walk the talk and talk no cock...

omg memories!

Dua darab satu = dua
Dua darab dua = empat
Dua darab tiga = enam...

Off tangeant a bit, just want to say that like birthdays, you can celebrate Merdeka Day everyday if you want.

Kepercayaan kpd Tuhan... there and then I fail to uphold the Rukun Negara liao.

HUH? Malaysia merdeka already ah? Aoid I missed it la! Was in HK watching Disney's fireworks. I bet Disney's fireworks beat the crap out of our celebration in Kuching.

Kepercayaan kpd Tuhan (yes i believe in God)

Kesetiaan kpd Raja dan Negara
(yes, so far i hv yet to cross swords with King and hv i sold the nation thru corrupt practices)

Keluhuran Perlembagaan (Whatever this means, i hv not broken it, it think)

Kedaulatan Undang2 (yes, i observe the laws of Msia. I pay my taxes, traffic summonses on time unlike some ministers who thinks they r immune)

Kesopanan dan Kesusilaan (yes, i do teach my kids abt manners but when faced with some jerks then we hv to operate in a different manner. So in Msia, we do hv to operate in a different manner)

Sorry Malaysia. I missed ur b-day this time around. Hopefully next year I will hv more reasons to cheer u on!

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
