We may have interpreted differently from what A. Kadir Jasin has reviewed earlier.

Meanwhile, Dr Mahathir has offered four ways for people to shut him up.

Via Oriental Daily News, August 14, 2006:

Firstly, build the crooked bridge; secondly, both Kalimullah Masheerul Hassan and Khairy Jamaluddin mustexit totally from ECM-Libra Avenue; thirdly, Khairy has to move his boys out of the Fourth Floor of the PM'sOffice; and fourthly, Khairy must not interfere in the operations at the PM's Office.

Via The NST, August 14, 2006:

"Pak Lah (Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi) has to build the bridge. If he does that, I don’t have any more comments."

His reply came spontaneously when he was asked by reporters to comment on deputy Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin’s sale of his stake of 10.2 million shares in ECM Libra Avenue Bhd, a financial services company. Khairy is also Abdullah’s son-in-law.

"Oh yes... that is good. First, they have to sell, then they should leave the fourth floor and go away somewhere and Pak Lah has got to build the bridge. If he does that, I don’t have any more comments.

"Now Proton is dead... all the vendors, all the dealers and salespeople are all losing money, so they are doing a good job serving Proton as promised by the Prime Minister."

TDM: AAB cannot kow tow to Singapore but must kow tow to me!!

Is that what TDM is implying?

i listened to the talk and what has aab done in his 3 years thus far u questioned. Well, not much but he is only fast to react on issues like sipadan preservation and other not so touchy issues but slow in matters that concerns the rakyat as a whole. So is he only capable in dealing in trivial matters? Oh yes, of cos we are grateful for him in speaking out against the development in sipadan and what not but would be more grateful if he has spoken out more in other issues.

like what? corruption? the big fishes in umno? and those outside?(taib and aab didn't even meet during aab's last visit to sarawak) the police thingie? islamic fundamentalism?
with what?
the question since aab first said he's going to tackle these issues has always been - how is he going to rock the boat without having his hands cut off by those who let him sit where he is sitting (hint: not you & me)

allow me to add... isn't it interesting that aab rebuked those from sabah & sarawak publicly while "chooses" to rebuke his own people in private?
even then, those assos from sabah & sarawak just ignore him, esp the one that doesn't need his agreement to continue as cm.
as for the other one.... i'm a passimist when it comes to malaysian politics, so i suspect he's going to continue to slaughter the goose that lay golden eggs - the goose named sipadan....

Now it seems that someone wants to order the PM at his command. Wonder if Pak Lah will do TDM wishes. If he does that, then he might as well step down and let TDM takes over. I wondering who is taking orders from who.

dear grownupwise ...

on the contrary, if u look at how the NST and the UMNO-KJ gang plus Nazri demonizes the former PM, sincerely I would doubt whether TDM himself would want to lead this pack of ungrateful b**tards ...

no lar-TDM mentioned himself 22 years is enuff !

he is already 81 years old - what else can he do other than to voice his criticisms ...

back to the post - the four things are all interconnected with KJ if you want to get what was Jeff's drift ...

I would sincerely hope that despite the foolishness of the leadership in doing those things; they would not do any further stupidity in the future ...

first they tell everyone that ISA / and all sorts of legal actions will be taken against the ppl who are telling the truths on the internet

then they are saying that blogs/internet are all lies ...

then came out with KJ's justification on MV Augusta and shedding his crocodile's tears that he will quit his post in UMNO Youth if he has become a burden ...

If KJ still really has the quality of becoming a future-PM, he better be on his toes because if u look at it from another way round - if TDM didn't make any noise - it wouldn't have to be the case of KJ selling of his stakes in ECM-Libra-Avenue ...

For true governance and transparencies, all these BS shouldn't have happen - it should have consulted ppl's wishes/views and also debated before going ahead with their whims/fancies ...

Even if KJ or the likes of KJ take over the countries' leadership, the most saddening fact that we will still see in the future is the common problem of the leadership doing a big-U-turn after doing half-way or spending big money and decide to abort plan ...

the real beef of democracy and good governance is to avoid all those wastage and opportunities in doing the right things in one go and not beating round the bushes ...

if at these sandiwaras still doesn't make the leadership strongly and wiser, what else would you wish for to keep governance in check ?

INTERNET does not operate in a legal vacuum.
